'Tis the Season for...Transcription?

'Tis the season for transcription, or so it seems. Every year, there's usually a slow period from around Thanksgiving through January, and then people start waking up from their long winter's slumber round about February and think, "I need things transcribed!" This year, we're still in "feast" mode after the famine here in transcription world.

There's so much amazing content out there. If you have YouTube videos or video content on your website, how can you monetize that content using transcripts? Did you know that YouTube videos can be captioned?

Having your content in print is always helpful--you could even use it to put together blog posts or articles. Use snippets of the transcript in your newsletter. When you have a transcript, it's simply a matter of cutting and pasting, and then your material can be archived online forever.
