I have a wide range of tips to share with fellow Warriors - from teaching you how to write better (or smarter) to helping you learn how to wield the power of web 2.0 sites like Squidoo, Hub Pages, and Google Knol.
I have made tens of thousands of dollars on the Warrior Forum alone and I'm always willing to help others learn the ropes if they just ask. I wanted to create my Warrior Forum blog to build an in-house area for questions and answers among marketers, so sound off in my comments area and I'll help you as best as I can and if I can't, I'll find someone who will.

Do You Have Digital Download Protection? Shocking Theft is Rampant Without Download Security!
Posted 10-28-2009 at 08:34 PM by TiffanyDow
Are you scared someone's gotten ahold of the download page for your digital product and is sharing it with others?
To be honest with you, it's probably already happened - you just haven't found out about it yet. It's been said that those without protection suffer a loss of up to 70% of their potential profits!
This same thing happened to me before I knew about digital download protection and I was so angry. My download page had been placed on several forums and the product stolen dozens of times by the time I discovered it.
But then someone came to my rescue... and I'm about to do the same for you by sharing this important tip:
You can easily implement a security system that stops thieves in their tracks and keeps your digital downloads closed off to buyers only.
There are two primary ways this type of protective software can help you:
1.) Using a theft-prevention system, your customers will get download links that expire in a pre-determined amount of time that you choose. The link gets emailed to them - it's not a static page on the Internet for anyone to find.
But what's to stop a thief from using that short window to share your download link? They could go into a forum and post it with a message that they only have 24 hours (or whatever you set) to download it, right?
Not with a good digital download protection system.
2.) There are some that have measures in place for this very scenario. The way they address is by allowing you, the product owner, to set a specific number of download attempts. So for the honest buyer who might be having download trouble, they can try a few times (maybe 3?) and then contact you if it continues.
A thief will be unable to share it with the masses because your protection software will disable the download attempts and ruin their attempts to rip you off.
I don't know about you but I'm tired of thieves without a conscience stealing our hard work!
Put a stop to it right now. Implement your own digital download protection security system today and keep your profits in YOUR pocket.

Hi Tiff,
Good advice, Sams program is really good, and so are a lot of others, but unfortunately, once they have your downloaded file, if it isn't licence protected then it's just a case of here is the file on Rapidshare, or elsewhere, torrent sites etc.
DLguard is good, as are so many other programs, but if there is no licencing system in place, forget it, your profits are going to be in their pockets.
I know of at least 3 bar stewards who I have had to get put out of the play because they have grabbed a copy of my software and allowed it to be downloaded from rapidshare sites. (Got them removed now)
Quite simply download guard, a great program by the way, just stops people who haven't paid, but that's all.
Once they have the file, program whatever, they can do what the heck they want with it if you haven't protected it further.
Implement your own digital download protection
But take it one step further because that alone is not enough, once they have your file, they have it - Arghh!
P.S. Learn't the hard lesson on this one.Posted 10-29-2009 at 06:09 PM by Janet Sawyer
