When PLR is not really PLR at all?

Recently there has been a lot interest, in deception in online sales, and marketing has been under the microscope.
For example, a recent headline in the WSO section, opens with what could be considered a deceptive title, using the word PLR.
Which legally has not really been adjudicated, in court, however, in the US, Private Label Rights, is something that has a specific legal meaning, Private, means just that, once you grant a PLR license, that product then becomes the Private property of the person or company you sold it to.
You can try to place artificial restrictions on the use of that product however, the truth is that once you use that word in your sales copy you have no right to attempt to impose any restrictions on its use.
Now you can do that with other products, but not Private Label Products, in this WSO the user, uses PLR as a bait and switch technique, where the user at first thinks they are getting real PLR, however later in the sales copy they combine the word PLR and the words in parenthesis, (resale rights)
Resale rights is not the same as PLR, so this seller was in violation of the new FTC guides concerning, deception in online advertising.
Both buyers and sellers alike should be very aware of these guides because in the near future you might have a huge price to pay.
Violators, of the deceptive advertising guides could receive severe punishment including fines and jail time, so perhaps it might seem like a small thing to deceive someone one in a WSO but in reality, you could find yourself in jail.
Remember Private means just that, if you do not want to sell Private Label Rights, then do not use those words, because words have meaning, and when you intentionally attempt to deceive, that becomes a serious problem.
