To buy or not to buy backlinks, that is the question

The Number one reason why Buying links is not a good idea is that Google has made it clear that the practice of buying links is not an "Approved method of building a websites value" Simply put, you are who you hang around with.
Mom was right when she told you not to hang around those people and you know what she was right, when you hang out with people that do bad things, the chances are good that by association you will also be viewed in a less than good way.
Google is no different, the people that think Google does not know what your up to when you purchase links from backlink services, are lying to themselves.
There are a number of issues that should be apparent to anyone the sad thing is that so many people are out there selling links that often they will try to distort the truth about this very important subject simply because if everyone understood why this is not a good idea the market for selling links would dry up.
So, you often can find information that is basically a lie, they claim that you can get a high ranking, the reason why they want to publish this information is to appeal to a buyers need for success.
Website owners want and need good rankings, but sadly most of the time they cannot compete with the big spenders online that can afford to purchase and purchase services until the competition dries up.

notice the difference in how many links each website has, now lets look at the level of traffic, do you see something that defies the logic of the lies these backlink sellers tell you?

So if what they are telling you is true and the more links you get the better off you are then why is the website with thousands of backlinks getting less traffic than the one that only has a few hundred backlinks?
