Suppose you want to hire an expert?

I think that there are times when having to stop and learn something related to IM efforts slows progress, especially if there is an additional prerequisite of having to know html, Dreamweaver, etc.
This is why some experts recommend hiring a qualified techie to help you to create a web page, for example. And don;t get me wrong. Hiring someone costs money. But things like software and other items can cost money, often big bucks., and time for installation and working out any bugs that may be around.
All of this is why I'm going to have someone create my landing page. Before deciding to hire that person, I asked for samples, how long the work would take, and price. I figure that I'm making an investment and am saving myself some time. Since I'm not a techie, I would have interrupted my progress in IM marketing for the reasons mentioned above.
There's a time and a place for everything, naturally. What do you want to do? Can you do it by yourself? Do you have some expertise, such as knowing html already? Will these efforts be worth your time and not look like you;ve done it yourself? How much are you willing to pay?
