Take Care Of Your Health

Hey all,
Sorry I haven't posted here lately. There's a reason. I hurt my dang back. I'm no spring chicken anymore (will be 43 in a few weeks) and I did something stupid at work. And now I have a backache that won't go away. The best I can do is load up on Advil and get through the day. It's only on the right side, so it's just a pulled or torn muscle. At least I don't have to worry about a slipped disc or anything serious like that.
I've really been a lucky guy in my life, health-wise. The worst thing I ever had was a broken toe. Man, I really did crush that sucker, but seriously, it was a freaking toe. I have normal blood pressure, no heart problems, nothing to really get scared about. I know I'm lucky. So when something relatively minor like this happens, it makes me realize how lucky I've been and it humbles me.
Just wanted to post that reminder. Don't take for granted the things that are going right for you. I'll be back soon.
John

Been missing you round these parts, bro!
The bad thing about a broken toe is that there's nothing that can be done about it. You just have to let it heal on its own. They might give you some pain meds, but it's too small to do anything with!
As for your back, try to rest as much as you can and soak in the tub as much as the wife will let ya. Too much and she'll think you're getting lazy in your "old age"! LOL!
Get better, bro!Posted 07-01-2009 at 06:26 AM by Chris Hunter
