I"m pressed for time, so if this question is already listed, can you just refer me to the original thread? I'm looking at what appears to be a good purchase. Approx $1000 for a dropshipping tech site. The site is already built and he has a claimed revenue of $15000 annually. The site would have to be updated, cleaned up, etc but that's irrelevant. I've never owned a website before so I don't know what questions to ask. I'm currently deployed and just working through the interent. Can anyone help? Thanks. |

You must know the actual profit earned. Among the things you got to ask are actual mark up, the rate of chargebacks, the rate of returns and how do you deal with returns? $15000 may seem reasonable but the actual profit could easily be less than $1500.

Before you buy any site, read this on due diligence. I wrote as a guest blogger for Flippa. It seems too cheap if the income is legitimate http://flippa.com/blog/guest-post-th...due-diligence/ |

Agree with the comments above. Don't rush into this, do your due diligence. You're basically buying the revenue here, the site is established but sounds like it needs a lot of work. For the same effort you could build your own store. Which leads to where is that revenue (read traffic) coming from? SEO? PPC? With my very first ecommerce stored I turned over $30k+ revenue but made stuff all. Don't mistake revenue for profit. |

Thanks everyone. After reading everything and doing a little side research, I decided to pass. I'm going to continue to expand my knowledge base before making my first purchase or attempt to create my own site. Does anyone know how to obtain a list of wholesale dropshippers from reputable suppliers? Thanks again |

What's the profit of this site? Revenue can big on dropshipping sites, but profit small. Quote:
This is good stuff. | |
