Private Label "how to" course anywhere?

Im looking to get my own private label product in one of the many evergreen subniches within the Health niche. I figure many that have done this and duplicated it with success, may have come out with some sort of guide or course on what to do and how to avoid the pitfalls.... basically Im looking for a How To course on private labeling a product and what goes on in the background. Anyone know of something that is legit that explains these steps from real experience?

    I have private labeled and it is not that hard. Your biggest issue is liability so unless you are doing something innocuous make sure you have good liability and product liability insurance in case someone gets sick from your product. If possible try and get the manufacturer to stand behind the product and that information will be in your purchase order information but as a newbie... good luck, you have less power until you are buying and selling.

    Are you looking to sell to stores or online? Selling into retail stores can raise other issues from packaging (both retail and ship packaging) so a manufacturer that can be flexible is key. Also, if you are shipping into a larger retailer, then good contingent business interruption insurance is key. If they have issues in a plant and Costco is private labeling from the same plant, good luck getting product for a few months which can cause you fines and lost business.

    Hmm.. maybe I should do a course on this...
