The secret to lucrative Amazon niche sites is finding long tail keywords that have at least 1,000 searches per month and less than 30,000 competing pages (with keyword in quotes) so you can rank on the first page of Google and make sales!

The niche sites are already optimized. Getting traffic is the same way you would get traffic for any niche site--backlinking, articles, etc. However, getting on the first page of Google is half the battle--that will bring alot of traffic immediately depending on the keyword searches.

BTW - I have had several people ask me how to keep their amazon niche site at the top of the rankings. Here are a couple of tips:

1. Backlinks--I use Angela's backlinks (which can be found on this forum) for my niche blogs which seem to have helped. Use other sources as well, but backlinking is extremely important!
2. Article marketing - Write an article using your keyword pointing to your site and submit it to goarticles.com, Ezine articles and articlealley.com You can also use freetrafficsystem.com which will allow you to spin the article a number of ways allowing for more backlinks.
3. Social bookmarking - There are several services (such as Ken's Social Bookmarking 101 found on WF) which will enable you to get alot of social bookmarks for your site.
4. Adding new content - never forget to add new, ORIGINAL content every once in awhile. This is essential and will make Google happy.

There are a ton of other ways, but these are just a few tips to help with marketing your site. Most of all.. HAVE FUN!
