Hi Warriors

If you have been thinking about starting your own article directory here's the deal and site for you: iArticles.biz

Here's why:

It already is a PR2 and wouldn't take much to reach a pr3 or 4 IMO.
It has a very good domain name: iArticles
It has been online almost four years ( very important )
It has over 100 pages indexed by Google
It has 1932 articles
It has 327 authors ( which you can email )
It is set up to automatically load with new pre-screened articles ( not spam )
It uses a quality pro licensed script that costs $49
It has seo friendly urls
It has continuing support to help you with any problems with your site
It has ongoing help to market your site
It has an easy to use admin, can manually approve authors and articles, can mass approve articles, can delete articles easily, etc....

This site is currently getting search engine traffic and will get more IMO as the number of authors and articles rise. Plus, a little seo work will go a long way with this site.

The cool thing is you are building a list of marketers with this site and that is already at over 300.

Estibot appraises this site at $920. That may be a little high, but it's certainly worth several hundred with what it has going for it. So here's how I am going to do this sale:

Minimum bid $125 ( remember, the script alone costs $49! )
BIN price of $450>>$400>>>$350>>>$325

The end of the auction to be on Saturday, the 12th at 3pm pacific time.

I have a reserve somewhere between the minimum bid and BIN price, however I would like to sell this site and will lower the BIN in the coming days and hours. So, make a bid and keep checking back.

The site is not making much income now but has in the past. I just replaced the script recently because the old script had major flaws. I haven't added any ads beyond the adsense. This month is well on it's way to surpasing last months traffic. So, look at this as a new site with the advantages of an aged site just waiting for someone to give it some attention.

This year it has had between 580 and 1080 uniques per month. Last year it got over 1300 a couple months. About 5% is organic, so there's a lot of room for growth.

The site is on a few article directory lists also, which is a plus.

Where does traffic come from at the moment predominantly? and how have you recruited the 300+ authors so far?

Also, is the copyright of the site yours? So you can alter it in any way or form, IE taking sponsor ads out etc.

Hi Elliot

If you want me to continue hosting I can for a small monthly fee. Say $1. Or, if you don't have hosting I can suggest a good company that I use. If you don't know how to transfer the site I know someone who does transfers for $20. I'm sure there are other warriors who can do this also. Plus, most hosting companies will help you transer a site. The important thing is to make a backup first which only takes a few seconds.

Most traffic now comes from direct address/bookmarks. About 6% comes from links and almost 5% comes from search engines. The site needs promotion and seo work. This forum has tons of information on how to do both, plus I can show you people who can help specifically with these type of article sites. One of the easist ways to promote a site is through a forum signature.

Most of those authors come from the automated feed of new articles and authors.

It's not my script. I do have a license for it though, which costs $49 for one site. You can change the ads and put your own in. I can show you how.

As far as the license goes, can the structure and logo etc. be altered on the site?

Also, when does this auction end? or have I missed this part?

Hi Jamie

You can change the logo and you can also change the appearance. I know of some people who can make it more customized. The script isn't open source though.

I will set an end date for the auction after the initial bid.
