You've Never Seen a Site Like This! Extreme Power and Automation!
The site that automatically builds pages and sends email messages! www.ProFootballUpdates.com This is a site that focuses on America's biggest passion: Pro football. It is built using my own BlogBomb and GodfatherBomb software. I own and developed this software. It is unique and one of a kind and there a no licensing issues. I created the site's design myself using Artisteer. The header graphic consists of an image I purchased through iStockphoto.com. Here's what makes this site so special: Not only does it create more pages and expand and grow, each team has it's own built in mailing lists. That's 33 mailing lists set on auto-pilot! (32 teams plus a general NFL list) This about this: Each day during the season, www.ProFootballUpdates.com grows by 33 pages. It also sends out 33 email messages each day. That's 241 email messages a week. Of course, during the off-season this will slow down. If you could get 1000 fans to sign up for each list, that would be 231,000 emails a week...About a million per month. Even if you just get 100 fans per list, that's still 23,100 messages per week. You mean to tell me there aren't 100 Oakland Raider fans out there that wouldn't be interested in having Raider news delivered to the email box? If you only make 10 cents per 1,000 messages sent, that's $2,300- $23,000 per week, based on the numbers above. All without lifting a finger! (except for promoting) Of course, I can't promise you'll make 10 cents per 1,000 emails or you'll get 1,000 or even 100 fans to sign up for each newsletter. But you could make a lot more than 10 cents per 1000 emails. Common sense should tell you that this is entirely possible. There's football fans every where. And they buy t-shirts, tickets, collectibles, play fantasy football and have even been known to bet once in a while. And not all teams may have enough news for a daily email...That will be up to you to tweak...You can set the lists to be sent daily, weekly, monthly or even suspend the list for a period of time. The pages and email messages are created by using RSS feeds from a wide variety of news sources. If you want more control over the content, I have some tools that will make things much easier, such as my Scrubz Tuel, which helps you pick and choose as well as edit RSS pheeds. Right now, the site is monetized using eBay auctions and Google Adsense on the pages. Each email newsletter also contains eBay auctions, customized for each team. Bronco fans are sent Bronco related auctions. Cowboy fans are sent Cowboy related auctions. The "archive" pages created are html pages and each can be modified on an individual level. The site is well engineered using SSI tags. This means different areas of each page can be modified using a single html file. For example, this site will soon grow to 1,000's of pages. If you want to change the AdSense at the top, or add something in ADDITION to the Adsense, simply edit one html file, and the changes will be made across ALL the html pages. If you notice the "archive" section of each page, this is modified on a team by team basis, for all pages for that particular team. This site will need to be moved and I strongly suggest using a virtual server or full dedicated server. Blasting emails is very server intensive. I may not sell this site. I've posted this to see if I can get a fair offer. This site has unlimited money making potential, but you must take action. You need to get links and participate in NFL related forums, or hire people that will. You may even be able to pay a few prolific posters to include your site in their sigs. If you love football, are willing to promote it, and can see the potential of this site, make me an offer...I'll consider offers over $600. |

It is very insulting to think I am stupid enough to work for 40-50 hours and sell it for $100. It implies I'm an idiot and my time isn't worth more than $2 a hour, not counting the software it takes to run a site like this, which I own. If anyone wants to talk seriously, I'l be happy to listen...But please have some respect. Or, if someone can only offer $100, I may consider selling you the software to build a site like this as a "DIY".

Hey Shaan,
It doesn't have traffic/revenue, as it's a brand new site. My price is based on the time, effort, skill, and software needed to produce a site like this. It would be very hard to duplicate this site at any Freelancer site for under $1000. There's 33 mailing lists, each to a demographic of "rabid" fans. There's also 33 "archives". It wasn't an easy job building the site, and the site has tons and tons of potential subscribers/visitors. If I don't get a fair offer, I'll keep it myself and start promoting it. There's value in this site for anyone that can put in the effort to market it. Honestly, I just tend to get burned out on a site after putting in the work it took to build it, which is why it's up for sale. |

Personally I agree with you that $100 for a site like that is an insult. However, I would be interested in hearing more from you on the software around the $100 mark. I hope you get what you are looking for. At the very least I'll be sure to bookmark it and watch it grow!

Hi Ryne,
Thanks for your comments. Here's the details: The software is my GodfatherBomb, which you can read more about here: www.GodfatherBomb.com But don't pay $249, I have a Warrior Special where you can get the software for free here: "Be a Godfather for FREE! Self-Writing Web Page and Email Newsletter Software Does It All For You!" To get it free, you purchase membership to my BombSquad for $99 = $7.95 a month, which includes a bunch of other stuff in addition to GodfatherBomb. Kurt's Bomb Squad SEO Team: Accepting SEO teammates Huge Discount! You can use the software on as many sites as you want, as long as you own the sites and they are for your own use. And you keep the software if you cancel your membership. |

No, it sends one newsletter per day for each of the 32 teams, plus one for "NFL" news. Members can login to a control panel and select the team(s) they want to subscribe to, or unsubscribe to, it that's the case. So most members would get 1-2 messages, depending on how many newsletters they have selected. For example, I am a Denver Bronco fan. I subscribe to the Denver Bronco list as well as the NFL News list, so I get two messages a day, as a user. Having said this, the admin send an email at any time...You can select one team, a few teams or all the teams. If a user is on more than one list, he/she will only get one email. This would be good for "Breaking News" and an occasional special offer.

Kurt, is it possible to customize the manage account area?
ex. say Pro Football Updates instead of ZineBomb 1.0 at the top customize who the emails come from as well, Pro Football Updates (or even updates from the team - ex. Vikings Updates Mail) instead of ZineBomb Mail Robot? in the Manage account area, can NFL Updates be listed at the top in the subscription list, then followed by the teams alphabetically? is it possible to give the user (in the manage accountr area) an option of whether to receive emails daily or weekly? alternatively, is it possible to set it up so they don't necessarily have a Manage Subscription area? so when the do subscribe instead of having to create an account off the bat it just be a normal double opt-in process you said it's built using your software, would managing the site, changing the layout and editing the template be pretty similar to that of a standard wordpress site? finally, if I decide to sell the site down the right, would there be any licensing issues in regards to your software? Thanks, Chris. |

Hi Kurt,
This is an exceptional site. Well done. If I were farther along in my internet adventure I would probably buy this right now. However, I am not a huge football fan, although that would not matter, and my wife would have my head if I don't make the money for something like this from my efforts on the web. Will you have other sites like this available in the future? If you could get me to the $1000 per week level I will buy this site and have you make a couple others. What would you suggest to get to the level I would need to be at to be able to buy this site and others like it. Good job on the site. I would only like to know if the graphics could be changed for each team page? Thank you, Leiif |

Sorry about the delay, I didn't get an email notice this thread was updated. You can change the template used for the User interface. I actually had it changed at one time, but my programmer made an update and I never changed it back. To change the layout would be a little tougher than using WP. It's really set up for each team to be able to have their own design. You would create an html template, then add the tags I've included to that template. It can be resold, with the license for the scripts good only on Profootballupdates.com.

I probaby won't make more sites like this, if this one doesn't sell. Although I may be intereted in developing a custom site for someone. To be honest, if I got it up to $1000 a week with the site, I wouldn't sell it for $600. To make a site like this, you need to be able to install perl scripts, know basic html and understand SSI. Thanks for your interest... Kurt
