This is actually a good idea I think. I might have been mistakenly assuming that the only way was to continually produce unique content in order to do well.

I don't think you have to always have unique content. In fact, I don't think you have to have unique content at all and there are plenty of posts here at WF from people who are making a lot of money without it. I guess it really depends on your end goal.

Don't get me wrong, unique content isn't a bad thing ... and you can add yours to these blogs too if you want.

But, I think 90% of the battle for these small microniches is in how you promote them.

Now, if you were going for a huge niche like "weight loss" then I think you would probably need a big blog with lots of unique articles. But for something like "king size electric blanket" the competition is minimal so your less likely to get bumped because you don't have unique content. Besides, even the guys from Google verify there is no dupe content penalty so what's the big deal about unique content anyway?
