Estibot generates random appraisals based on keywords so I would never buy a domain based on that appraisal alone. .info domains can be picked up for 89cents aswell. However good luck with your sale.

The Technology Behind EstiBot

EstiBot gathers relevant keyword data based on the keywords in your domain name. The keyword data, along with other relevant information about the domain are then run through a complex mathematical model and semantic analysis. These data are then compared to previous related domain name sales. EstiBot then outputs the keyword data and EstiBot's own estimation of the current market value of your domain name in U.S. dollars or user specified currency.

It still comes down to the value in the buyers eyes. But the one part of a valuation is estibots ability to compare previous sales of similiar domains to give you a better guideline to go by.

Epik.com also offers a free appraisal tool. It's purpose is different than that of Estibot's as it measures actual or potential traffic and not just search volume. It's designed to help you establish an End User price. Therefore the valuations are usually higher than at Estibot/Valuate.

Of course, appraisal tools have to be taken with a grain of salt but the Estibot and Epik tools are useful. If I want to price a domain, I will take Estibot valuation as my low and Epik as my high and add in my own factors.

Yes they are great domains and like you I cannot get to them or they are niches I am not in. Thank you. But its like when you go to Walmart for a widget, then you see 3 other widgets you did not come to buy. You buy them. Next thing you know 3 trips to widget world and your looking at to many unused widgets.
