I have had a couple of other HTML/CSS sites rank much better than wordpress just because EVERYONE is using wordpress, and it's much harder to find legitimate sites that are HTML/CSS. I believe for some reason Google loves these and favors them over Wordpress. In my own experience, I've seen HTML/CSS sites rank better than my wordpress ones.

Hi Hydroxide, I apologize I overlooked your question. To update the sites, you can use a tool like dreamweaver. Usually if it's an adsense / sales type website, I wouldn't need to update it much often. For adsense sites, I simply add the extra links for articles. I will be creating a membership community based on this, where I will also have videos to show you guys everything including additional steps to make more MONEY with your sites for free!
