Are there any affiliate offers that you think would convert well? For example, I've seen those commemorative plates on TV... I think they're worthless, but there must be a market for it since it's worthy of paying for infomercials.

You could create your own products on Zazzle and sell them there.
Zazzle | Custom T-Shirts, Personalized Gifts, Posters, Art, and more
or stickergiant.com has an affiliate program on CJ. They have variety of political stickers, many of which are Obama or democrat party. You could also do Adsense, or use it for list building.
Amazon also has a variety of books and DVDs that would work well on there as well. There is a place to get those plates as well, and they have an affiliate program. I don't remmeber where it is right now, though.

I'm really not. I have a an article or two in SEO Linkvine pointing to it, and a couple at EZA, but that's been the extent of it so far. I was going to really capitalize on the 2012 election, after seeing everything that went on during the 2008 race, but I just have way too much on my plate right now.
