Our authority sites are not affected by Google updates at all. We do not rely on emd's ....so no effect for that too. Our authority sites gets traffic from several dozen keywords as we focus on good original content. So to answer your question Google updates have no effect.

I will give you one example here....one of our clients site is ranking in Google page 1 for the word "beagles" (beagles.net) , but we do not rely on it as the site is getting traffic from several dozen keywords.

Same goes for all authority sites. I'm sending you PM for some more sites.
