Using a quick survey on landing page to promote Clickbank items
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hey Warriors,

I read on here awhile ago of a method for promoting Clickbank products....

- Send traffic to a landing page where the visitor is asked a series of questions

- Do you like taking care of your dog? (For example)

Then on the 3rd question the page says, based on your answers, here is the best product for your needs.

Then the person is taken to a Clickbank sales page.

Anybody try using this method to engage the visitor? Instead of trying to pre-sell them or show them a product review?

Here is a visual on what Im talking about...didnt put in links yet on the answers...

First of all I want to state out that I have never used this method, therefor I have no facts about it. But from my point of view it won't work. Users in 2014 need to have a clear view of the benefits and what's in it for them on doing something.
Now I wonder, why should a user complete a survey? What is the promise? Like what do you plan on telling them? Complete the survey and we'll recommend you a product?
Maybe if someone else has any experience with this method can share some results. I'm very curios about the conversion rate

I guess the goal of this method is to engage the visitor....Ill create a campaign based on this...send some traffic from Google PPC if I can get them to approve the page.

Ill let you know of the results this next couple weeks or so.

I use this technique to place people into the right funnel but i useit to sell my own services.

So lets assume i'm in seo (i'm not) and if you landed on my home page their would be a little survey, what do want to achieve? Plus a list of suitable options

Who do you want to do this?
I want to do this myself,
I want to outsource,
I want someone to set us up then do it ourselves.

I can see that it could be applied to different affiliates for example if you were in dog training you have training for puppies or older dogs. Weightloss could be split down to gender, age, goal or timeframe - it could give freedom in that you can pitch drop a dress size in a week to one person and the 3 day diet to another.

I don't do this for ppc however as i run different campaigns already targetted to each split.

I'd rather use an on-site microsurvey for that rather than taking them away from the page you really want them to interact with. Just a disclaimer, I do own Qeryz (https://qeryz.com) and I think may be just the tool you're looking for.

We successfully use many small surveys to generate micro-committments and to gather data for all sorts of niches both for businesses we both own and for clients who employ us for conversion strategies.

I don't see why it wouldn't work for clickbank products but you really need to have warmed people up before they get to the survey. (we use survey funnel for this or multi-part forms and sequences we've coded in-house)

I usually use the survey in conjunction with getting a lead magnet where the person visiting the landing page already is aware of the offer before arriving. They then go through a simple survey that either dissects them into the right funnel or just gets them engaged.

Usually after the survey they get the lead magnet and then they go into the follow up sequence.

The dissection of the prospect at this stage is useful. For example one area we work in involves health cover so it is good to separate policy holders from non-policy holders before you take them through the next steps.

One of the better converting methods on this is to send them to a sequence of PURLs (a few emails in) where they presented with the personalized offer for whatever you are promoting. In my case it is 99% of the time a product we own or one that our client's own but as I said I can't see why it wouldn't work for anything. You've just got to test and measure the ROI.

Quick after thought is I think Frank Kern talked about using survey type sequences where he mails his list asking them to take some survey for a new product. The thank-you page (set in survey monkey) is a promotion for various products.
