Why don't you share your URL here so we can give you feedback? Weight loss blog? Selling product?

You may use some kind of instant messenger or chat for your website to reduce bounce rate. As for CRO: optimize income, not conversions / conversion rate. For example, you may receive 100 of orders with income $1000. Then you may receive 2 orders on $2000. See the difference? Optimize your net income. |

I cannot optimize my profit since I'm doing affiliate marketing and product price is on the side of the merchant. Live chat is a great idea, but unfortunately most of my traffic is from mobile.

Hello there! Yeah, I know about such kind of problem on my own experience and can suggest you to instal exit intent platform by Picreel. It’s an awesome tool that easily will help you to increase conversion rate with its targeted pop-ups.

"Click here to download your e-book now" would NOT be mobile friendly. "Click here to have a copy of our e-book sent to your e-mail" IS mobile friendly. The next more technical question is what exactly is the breakdown of the Mobile Traffic? is it mostly phone traffic or is it tablet traffic? In general phone traffic just kind of sucks.. and tablet traffic is worth the effort to try and convert. IF your traffic is mostly phone based.. I would be looking for alternative traffic sources

What I found was that mobile users end up pressing the back button to leave your site a lot of the time. Quite a bit more than desktop users, though it's still a common way to lose visitors on all devices. Checkout my new WP Plugin "BackCatcher" for an all new way of catching those visitors one last time before they leave (without any annoying pop-ups) |

Yes, but google analytics still record the stats and it's not a problem for google to see some manipulations over back button hitters. p.s. I posted my question here; http://www.warriorforum.com/showthread.php?p=10518646#post10518646 |

Something that tends to help quite a bit... if you don't have any weight loss/health related videos on your site, I'd suggest adding some that match or further flesh out the written content you already have. If you don't want to create any of your own, you can find related videos on youtube and embed them on your site.

Honestly, there is a lot to this question. Site speed is a major factor. Are you utilizing caching? Site design is huge. Is it easy for people to navigate and find what they want? Quality of content, content mediums you are using, quality and intention of traffic hitting your site, type of website you have, is it mobile optimized, etc... All these could be factors, but it's hard to know which would have a noticeable impact without seeing the site and digging into your analytics to see.

It will be far easier after seeing your website to explain what you can do. The high bounce rate is due to whats called the "above fold" content being not relevant to the user viewing your page. For example: If you are looking for a BMW and the link you click takes you to a page where the first thing you see if a Nissan (above the fold) Most users will bounce. Even if its just a picture and the below fold content is all related to BMW. ------------------- Also is the page purely a landing page? If so and they have no where else to go it is likely they will land on the site then press their back button which analytics marks up as a "bounce" ---------------- Some other basic areas: -- Website User Friendly -- Clean / Tidy & relatively good design -- Loading Speed is quick -- Responsive -- Funnel the user (capture, engage, convert) -- Sensible "Call to action" for the user If you can supply your website link i can give a far better breakdown as the above is only a summary off the top of my head. Kind Regards CreativeBlanket |

Be sure to interlink content man. By that I mean if its just the weight loss niche you'll have alot of related topics. This is real simple with wordpress which i hope you're using. Link 1 words or 2 or 3 words to a particular topic. Particuarly hot or key words. In doing so people will naturally read, see the highlight underline, if they're interested they'll click. This'll reduce your bounce rate drastically. Since implementing that i've dropped from about 80% down to 60% & i know in tie it'll improve as i create more content. Hope that helped! Inbox if you have any questions. Cheers |

No, there is no risk of penalizing website by Google if you only display pop-ups for quick exit users. Google only penalize if your pop-ups irritate visitors. You should pre-define the session duration for displaying these pop-ups.

Without seeing your website, it's difficult to provide accurate suggestions. However, you should consider having an exit intent CTA encouraging your visitor to sign up for a free trial or offer an ebook/whitepaper for weight loss. Ensure your website is mobile friendly, loads fast, has information above the fold and overall visually appealing. You can create and A/B test different variations of exit intent CTA's or other CTA's to direct your audience to your blog/another page. This will help you convert your audience and decrease your bounce rate.
