Hi,
could you look at this landing page and give me some ideas how I can help the company to get more leads?

There are too many fields in the form, but I think they need them all.
Its a german website about getting discounts for seminar hotels.
The headline says: Find the perfect conference hotel with us - from the beginning with our personal support.
In the video and the text below he says how important the personal support is.
The bullets say: free seminar service, database with 5000 hotels, service with competence and personal support.

If the visitor fill out the form, they will find 3 offers for him and call him back in 1 hour.

Do you have some ideas how to improve it?

I would try the following things: (and I would A/B Test whatever I would try!)

1. Remove the video
2. Remove the wall of text (Seriously, nobody will watch or read all that. )
3. I would only leave the logo, the H1, the actual form and the bullet points on the landing page.
4. Add a few more key-points to the bullet list perhaps.
5. Center the formular

Then I would place links to the formerly deleted content for people that want more information.

Thanks, do you think the form should replace the video?

The problem is there are too many fields. On the old landing page there were only 5 fields with date, place etc. and then button "Find the deal", so people believed they will get the offers immediately. But if they clicked on the button, another window appeared with other 4 fields for email, phone, name, etc.
So people filled them out, because they invested their time already, but it looks a little bit stupid. Should I do it like this?

And what about the headline, what would make them fill out the form? I want to try: Send us your inquiry and get 3 offers within 1 hour, with discounts up to 30%.
Do you think its OK or do you have some better idea?

I don't read German. But what is there can be easily enhanced by offering a product - a special report, or something of some value - to be emailed to them. But make sure to mention - you have to put the write email, so that you can receive the gift/report/whatever it is.

As for the phone number - they may or may not give it right away, but you have a second chance to sell to them if you have the right email.

Thanks, but I am not sure if it could work. Imagine if you want to book a hotel and somebody will offer you free ebook instead, it doesnt make sense to me. They are looking for conference hotels, so they are ready to buy and putting any additional step between them and the sale would only decrease the sales IMHO.

I have made 2 steps landing page now, on the first landing page visitors fill in the date and location, they want to book. After submitting the information they will be taken to the second page, where they should fill in their name, email and phone.

On the first page usually 40 - 60% of visitors will fill in the form, but on the second page only 1 of 6 visitors will enter their contact data.

Do you know some methods how to increase this number? If I let there only the field for email or phone, it will increase a little bit, but not much. I am looking for methods which could make the visitor feel that this is a nobrainer, low risk high reward offer, make it for them easier to say yes than no.

This is actually nobrainer, because if they book the seminar hotel directly, they will pay 10 - 30% more. But the problem here is that they must send the data and wait 1 hour for somebody to find the deal for them and call them back.
If they book the hotel directly, they can do it online immediately, but it will be expensive.

Where can I find some statistics and benchmarks about landing pages to compare these numbers, to see if it converts better or worse than average?

I can't read German, so that I can't tell you about the content of the page. I want to tell you that you should use only effective and attractive content in your landing page. Do not need to use video in landing page, people don't see that videos. Use pictures and quality content and make people stay at your landing page.

As an average... 3% is a good start... double digits 10 to 12% is usually pretty good. You have to look at this 2 page set up in 2 ways. #1 each page individually.. you are getting a 50% average conversion on page one..... a damn good average actually. the next page is getting 17% give or take.... again not a bad number.


the other way to look at this out of 100 visitors after the 50% on the primary page and the 1 in 6 on the secondary you are closing 8% overall. If 3% is good.. 8% is better, and dang near hitting double digits.

You need to try three designs, and split test them, you should also change the whole thing to a landing page style that you see on instabuilder 2.0 I just think that if you tried some of the samples Instabuilder has to choose from, you could split test them,

Now yours will work, but you will never know, if a better design will work better, unless you try.

Well besides the classic A/B testing the headline, video, colors etc you could use some other methods:

-exit popup with an incentive like 10% coupon or something
-autoplay the video with the first seconds being awesome with strong call to action
-use a scarcity method like a time counter(not sure how you can implement this here, you can say subscribe before time runes out and receive the offer in hours)
