Hey guys, this is a truly awesome community! Some days ago I built up my 1st online product: Online learning course for swiss-german. (swiss german is a dialect of German, only spoken in Switzerland) You can find it here: Schweizerdeutsch lernen Some stats
If you need anything else, please let me know. Best, Michael |

What's your main traffic source? What's your funnel like? Also, what's the problem EXACTLY (low conversion, suddenly a drop of conversion etc)?

Hi Joshua, the low conversion has always been low. main traffic source: facebook(90%), google AdWords(10%) So the funnel is: facebook -> landing page AdWords -> landing page landing page -> give email for free ebook -> buy landing page -> buy |

We don't have enough information to make a solid recommendation. There are only two possible issues, though: Traffic and Conversion. First look at your traffic sources. This is where most people get their biggest bang for their buck. Your targeting may be off. Also, you only recently started. At the beginning is when you figure things out, and get the lowest conversions. Then look at your conversion tools. I don't speak Swiss German; however, your home page is filled with images and these one liners/links. Where's the sales copy? I don't see a video...all I see is "Here's a thing...a couple facts about it...Hey, you should buy it, here are some options!" So to me it appears your sales tool needs work. Yes, you have an opt-in popup, and that is good...maybe you can sell more effectively through the follow-up series. But as for now I am not surprised with your results. Personally, my experience with these single page (what I call "toilet paper roll" as they go on and on and on) websites has been poor. Designers like them, but designers don't know a thing about conversion. |

Also, the funnel SEEMS like it's ok but how many clicks convert to a squeeze page, and then how many more convert to the first offer? What's the price of the offer? And lastly, who is the target audience, specifically? (you said that it's Germans/swede immigrating to Switzerland, are they intending to migrate or have already migrated? Give us more details) And yes, whatever info you can tell us will be good too

Hey guys, thank you for the great input, I really appreciate your time and effort! Jason: What do you mean by "maybe your targeting is off?" You are right, that there is no sales copy in that way, only the listed benefits of the platform. --> Are there a few "way to go" examples of converting online course sales pages? --> I looked at https://www.warriorforum.com/war-room/join - Do you think a similar page will convert better? - It also adds more content, e.g. a sales copy --> I will do a video. Are there any "scripts", things you should do or things you absolutely must say to convert users? As this is my 1st online product I'm really unexperienced, you have to know. --> Your experience with toilet papers is poor? What do you recommend (examples)? Joshua --> What is a squeeze page? --> I'll read carefully through you link, thank you many times! More information - the price is 99 CHF (about 99 USD) one time pay - by now, only about 10 persons have bought (online since 3 weeks). - daily visitors: around 200 - 75 % new visitors, 25 % returning - target audience: Germans/Austrians that already immigrated to Switzerland, and would love to perfectly integrate in the community through learning the Swiss language - main users come from Switzerlands big cities - the online course is basically a membership programme that grants access to 50+ HD videos, vocabulary lists, grammar input and an entire online community (chatting with each other and with tutors is possible). - our FB page has about 1500 likes (weekly growth of 50 %) - 90 % of our visitors come from FB and view the page mobile Are there any successful, converting landing pages for online courses out there that I could use as a template or combo of best practises? |

As Jason stated - not enough information - I don't even see any data on the bounce rate (related to how long people stay on the page) or the cart abandonment rate (how many people start to order and don't finish) I see some issues I am seeing a lot with some clients. Yes the site is responsive and a lot of people think okay its therefore mobile ready (since you said most of your customers are on a phone) but to me mobile ready should mean the site looks good on a phone and where possible feels like an app (on the phone thats what users want). Your site looks good "Above the fold" on a desktop but then it responds to a smaller screen not so much. To be honest the lower part looks confused the good news is it looks like you have a winner. Your product has a demand or you wouldn't be getting those sales. Now you need to invest time or money into getting a better design and visitor user experience increasing your conversion rate so you make even more. |
