Experienced in funnelling ebook revenue?

Looking to build an info product sales funnel that captures leads via a lead magnet at a rate of 35% and then converts to sales at a rate of 20% for a product valued at $4. Would like to purchase traffic at a CPC of $0.05 in a global mass market vertical. Is this a possibility? Anyone got the expertise to provide the services required?

It is possible, but scaling is going to be difficult at a price per click of 5 cents.

I would recommend you run some Bing campaigns if you're looking for a cheap CPC.

Thanks James. Where do you think the best source of traffic to target a volume of 1,000,000 clicks? Also, do you think the funnel needs to be really simple and single-minded with a $4 product to get the type of conversion rates I mentioned? Is this something you can help with?

Hey Wish13,

Here are my thoughts on the process...

You may want to re-look at some of the strategies you're using. A 20% sales conversion is pretty high, regardless of the price point. Depending of your niche of course. Another thing to think of is how you plan on managing conversion friction. Conversion friction is simply put, the number of steps it takes for your prospects to go from the initial step (clicking on your ad) to the desired outcome (buying your product).

While the IM/MMO community still swears by squeeze pages, you may be better off running through content-based channels. For example, you can write an article that 'presells'your product and bypass the optin altogether. That way, you're getting the most qualified eyeballs on your offer page.

Starting with an optin form, you'll end up losing the mass majority of people within the first few seconds. With an article, they have a higher chance of reading your article and getting curious about your product.

Also, keep in mind that the front end offer isn't really your main profit source. With your current metrics, you're making a profit of $230 for every 1,000 clicks. You really want to be around the $75-100 mark at most so you can scale up and grow. James is right, you're going to be hard-pressed to scale much on $0.05 CPC.

Some of the networks you can try is content.ad, RevContent, Bing & Yahoo Gemini. Keep in mind that native advertising (content.ad & Rev Content) can easily sustain company growth for years (I'm getting around 20 sales a day on Rev) however they are much different than Search Engines.

Doubling up and trying to help out with your next question is tough... everything depends on what you're looking at doing. I run $1 Trial Offers in the Men's Market, and we are converting at around 2.25% average on affiliate traffic (email clicks direct to VSL). I get about 75-100 leads/day on an Adwords lander and have a 8-12% conversion rate post optin for a $67 product. I tell you these stats for this reason: Nothing is certain and you're going to have to dedicate your horse to one goal. You can't ride two horses at the same time. You may have a better business built around a lower estimate sales conversion and just build your optin list. Conversely you may have a better business opting out of leads and getting sales.

Are you comfortable to post your landing page and your sales page links? It's nearly impossible to predict funnel performance accurately with all the pieces together, let alone predicting things blind.
