How to find the whole path of a visitor in analytics ?

Ok here is the issue.

I need to know the whole path and behaviour of someone that made a purchase on my site.
Lets say I have X amount ot visitors pr day to my "thank you page" which corresponds to the number of purchases of that day.

The question is: how can I best figure out which page they were last before they made a purchase. Sales copy page excluded. I have lots of free content on my site and eventually they read through it and land to my products sales copy pages via some of the articles and videos on the blog most of the time.
How to find out which content did they were on before they made purchase?

I'm thinking of somehow backwards tracking them in analytics.

For instance tracking all the visitors on the ThankYou Page and somehow getting information about their behaviour for what they did before landing there. But how to do it?

I tried "Previous Page Path" from "Secondary dimension" on a certain visited page, however this doesn't show all the path of the visitors but just the one page previous the selected page.

Any other ideas?

Cheers
