Maybe you will receive relevant answers if you give the URL website?

Since Google banned Ads from right bar top 4 Ads are getting most of the clicks. You should optimize Ad based on number of conversions or price per conversion. |

They are probably both correct. Ad position is determined by a real-time auction. So at times you may be below the minimum bid to appear on the 1st page and at other times you are not, thus an average position 1.3 is possible. Please bare in mind that a single keyword may trigger ad impressions for many different search terms. Your bids are probably not high enough to reach the 1st page for at least some of those search terms. There are many other factors that will impact available ad positions. Daily ad spend limits will cause some of your competitors to appear within the ad auctions intermittently throughout the day.

Hi Sven300, Thanks, I appreciate you explaining that. Currently, I have a bid adjustment set to time of the day, which is probably influencing it. So should I take the status (below first page) as law then up my bids to keep at page one? |

Even though your reply was not addressed to me, I will try to respond anyway. Please bare in mind that the average position is just that, an average. Your position will vary based on the search term that triggers your ad, and the ad auction competition level at the moment your ad is triggered. You can dive deeper into your campaign performance statistics to see where your ads are ranking based on search terms by clicking the Search Terms sub-tab under the Keywords tab in your AdWords interface. You can also see how your ad positions change over time using the Segments feature, selecting Time -> Hour of day, or Day of Week, etc. Also, you can use the Dimensions tab to run Hour of Day reports as well. Please realize how you structure your account will influence your ability to see and manage this data, better campaign struce will allow you to more easily see this type of data and improve your campaign optimization process. Account structure is a huge factor in top performing campaign management and optimization.

Hi Dburk, Thanks for the info, I really appreciate the information. I have a good structured adwords account, and very close to the video you attached. The time segment is a great tool, but is their a way to see the actual time of the day, instead of the day overall itself? |

It doesn't get any more granular than the hour of the day. If you are looking for a timestamp, for example, then no, not minutes or seconds, just down to the hour of the day is as far as the AdWords reports will go.

Ad position can't stable all time for your ads so you should try to optimize good quality score for your ads and for maintain quality score you should create create relevant ads and set average bid.

I am aware of a Max. bid setting but unaware that there was a setting for "average bid". Can you please enlighten us as to where we an find the "average bid" setting? Naturally, we can set the Maximum CPC Bid, and monitor the average bid over a period of time, adjusting the maximum CPC bid if we want to target an average bid range. However, I do not see how one could "set average bid", please elaborate.
