how do i use the Events Tracking code in google analytics?

i don't know where i should to put google tracking code
this code
onclick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Category', 'Action', 'Label']);"

I want to know where the visitor presses Inside the article
not in the sidebar
(on the banner or on the anchor text)

What are they pressing? A call to action button, link to another article, video/audio? You might not need event tracking depending on the situation.
