Tyler

You asked for it, so here you go (warning, brutal, if you are easily shocked, stop reading now!)

Your home page

I spent more than 1 minute (that is time many people on the internet don’t have) on your homepage, trying to answer the following questions:
  • What is it?
  • What is it talking about? (who is it about)
  • What do I get?
  • Why should I read or listen to you?
  • Why should I believe what you have to say?
  • Why should I do anything about what you’re offering?
  • Why should I act now?
And did not get an answer. So you have a lot of work to do about the clarity of your offer and value proposition.

Home page elements:

No tag line. You need a tagline to orientate visitors to your website, & tell where they are.

Top right hand corner, the call to action “Get started today” is in the wrong place. What am I getting started with and why?

Main Nav – the main purpose should be to move people to relevant parts of your website. Instead your are just asking me to buy, even before you've sold me on anything.

Login/Register – What am I registering for? And why should I do it, what is in it for me?

Main banner – It says nothing about what you offer, yet it occupies some premium space.
I can’t see the number of slides in the main banner (no slide progress indicator).

Slogan – “Always unique, Always cute, Always comfy” is meaningless really. It doesn’t make people want to buy from you.

Credibility – Can I trust your website? Where are samples of your work? Where are testimonials from raving Facebook fans? Where are the trust logos?

Clarity – I don’t know what you sell, who is it for, why I should want it, why I should buy from you rather your competitors, I don’t know what pal means either.

Order page:

What do you want me to do here?
  • “See Your Delivered pals”?
  • “Create my pals”?
  • “Place my order”
  • “Get started”?
  • “Give a gift card”?
There are too many conflicting calls to action.
I don’t even know what I am ordering yet.

Tyler there is a lot that needs doing on your site.

That is not a bad thing, it means if you are getting any results now, then you could do a lot better.

My first thought when I visited your page was "awesome"! Now I am biased because I love pillow pals and I hope the couple of short suggestions I have are helpful!
  1. Instead of "Upload your pillowpals" it might make more sense to say "create your own pillowpal" since that seems to be what you offer that is really cool.
  2. The call to action should be create now or something similar. If you need to rip straight from the build a bear workshop or something similar, go for it!
  3. Maybe put the see our delivered pals on the homepage.

Thank you to the 400+ warriors that chose to buy my Facebook WSO granting lifetime access to my Udemy course!

I think your idea is really cool.

My recommendation would be to simplify.

The most important thing would be to add a value prop on the hompage. Really anything that tells the visitor what you do. It could be, "We turn your drawings into pillow pals," with one of your before and after pics from the purchase page.

You examples on the purchase page are great and tell the story without words.

This is low hanging fruit in my opinion and would have the most impact in turns of clearly explaining what you do. Your goal should be to build trust, like adding some secure payment icons could help for people worried about your site being unsecure.

Before you make every little change someone recommends you need to realize that you have diminishing returns on many of those. Work on the high level stuff like your value prop, offer, and building trust.

Okay, I took a few minutes to go through your site.

You need more content on the front page
If possible replace the carousel picture with a HD quality video so people know about your product.
Look-up early 90's kids commercials on YouTube. They were cheesy and loud but effective and can be made at home if you have a camera
Another idea would be a video testimony from a mom or kid. - A quick way to get one is post a ad on Craigslist asking for people to review your product while you film it - It works
Blog - It needs a lot of help. Ideally you should aim for at least 10 high quality 500+ word post. Maybe talk about the material that is used which is safe and environmentally friendly.

When I typed in kids pillow and design I came up with the following as # 1 Kids Pillows Design Ideas, Pictures, Remodel and Decor

Study their site. Lots of pictures lots of content.

Hi Warrior,

As we are talking about the conversion, then the most effective way to get higher number of conversion from your website is make it user friendly that means responsive, so the mobile users can also access your website easily. People are designing their website in a responsive manner and it is the future of web designing.

Reason is Google says more than 65% people in the world are using smart phones to access internet and only 30% people access internet from desktops or laptops, so when it comes to mobile websites then these are not much higher in terms of desktops sites, so if you are using a smart phone and opening a website then you need to zoom in and out see the details on website, while on other end if your competitor has a responsive site and in any case customer visit that website then it will be a conversion for his business and a lost client for you.

90% of people who visit mobile friendly website gives call and email to the company and it generates a lead for your business.

In order to get conversions your website should also be SEO friendly which is the major aspect for ranking on Google to searches.
