Default Which Companies Does Clayton Makepeace Work For?

I've been extremely impressed by the quality of content produced on a continual basis by The Makepeace Total Package.

In the issues published Clayton regularly refers to a financial company he writes for, gets 10% of the cut, and is doing HUGE numbers.

Can anyone tell me which company he writes for and where I can sign up for their newsletter?

I think it's something that would be really beneficial for all Warrior Copywriters to study (and I'm sure some of you already are!).

Also, if there are any other online companies that Clayton writes for which you know of it would be great to know about them, too!

Best Wishes,

Kenneth

Money and Markets, Martin Weiss. They do close to 9 figures per year.

He writes a lot of Magalogs - alternative health and investing are, as far as
I know, pretty much the mega-niches... both one in which it's easy to
find a bad guy ("those villains on wall street raiding your 401K to throw
their sex-pervert parties", "those big pharmacy fat cats who want to
keep Ginko Biloba out of your hands and charge you an arm and a leg
for drugs with devastating side effects like death!").

Just riffing. He's seriously good at the "us vs. them" stuff.

If any Warriors are still looking to build a swipe file of current Makepeace promotions, sign up for both Weiss Research newsletters:

Free Financial Investment Publication | Money and Markets
Uncommon Wisdom ? Extraordinary Insights For Growing Your Wealth

For best results, sign up for each list using at least two different e-mail addresses. Then whenever you get an e-mail promoting a free report or online event, do the following:

E-mail Address 1: Opt-in to make sure you're in the sales funnel.
E-mail Address 2: Do NOT opt-in, so you get the full cycle of invites.

That will get you on their "C" list. Of course, if you want to get on their "A" or "B" lists, you'll need to buy something.

NOTE: Not all the sales copy Weiss runs is written by Clayton -- some is mine and some was written by other Makepeace copy cubs or Weiss' in-house copywriters. But the main product-of-the-month promotions are virtually always Clayton's.

Hope this helps,

Len

PS - If you have any questions about who wrote a particular piece, feel free to ask me.

Do Weiss Research really do close to "NINE" figures per year? I could be wrong but that's a bit over the top... I think.

You don't think they could be pulling in at least $100,000,000 Colm?

I do.

I've been a subscriber to Weiss' stuff and part of being part of that party (so to speak) is to get dunned with some pretty tempting offers that all seem to start around $5000.

Weiss is a VERY smart cookie, and, while he had been talking about the demise of the economy since forever -- an inexpensive book he wrote described the ridiculous shenanigins going on in the ratings industries (permitting folks like Goldman Sachs, etc., to get their CDOs rated with absurd AAA ratings.).

I did very well with the gold stock that Marty recommended (would have done better had I sold it on a spike instead of where I did -- but, that's another story.).

In fact, I'm sure I'd be much better off if I'd paid a bit more attention to the advice of Mr. Weiss.

The two people who I think have a great understanding of the economy (besides the now (multi?)-billionaire John "The Greatest Trade Ever" Paulson) are Marty Weiss and Bob Brinker.

Both have their weaknesses (Marty's having been calling for the demise of the economy for at least a decade, maybe at least two.)

The book I read (and would recommend, except that I think his more recent book is, well, more recent. is

The Ultimate Safe Money Guide: How Everyone 50 and Over Can Protect, Save, and Grow Their Money

Written in 2003.

After reading it, I wondered how the economy ran AT ALL.

But definitely gave me a pretty cynical view of Wall Streeters. (Of course, being a daytrader for a while helped with that as well...)

I suspect his 2009 book

The Ultimate Depression Survival Guide: Protect Your Savings, Boost Your Income, and Grow Wealthy Even in the Worst of Times

Contains a lot of similiar information.

In fact, I see the first book is authored not just by Marty, but by "Weiss Ratings, Inc." -- Weiss has his fingers into a lot of things, such as Weiss Ratings -- which are NOT paid for by the companies being rated, unlike those you get from Moody's etc. (what a concept!)

Like I say, I haven't read the more recent book -- but I'm sure that it would be as equally eye-opening as the first book was for me. And you can get the first book, used, for a song (less than $1, currently!). Well well worth the investment (yah, you'll prolly have to pay a few bucks for shipping. It would be worth it.)

(You'll probably wonder why no one ever told you this before. Or, perhaps more likely -- "How can they get away with this and appear so damned legitimate?")

Okay ... I'll get off my soapbox now.

Live JoyFully!

Judy

They can and do. On a blockbuster promotion, they can pull in well over $1 million in a single day. Their big promos tend to run about ten days on average ... repeated every 4-6 weeks. And that's just new sales of their featured services. Then you factor in their smaller-price products and services ... renewal/continuity sales ... etc. -- see how quickly it adds up?

Plus, they bring in tens of thousands of new customers each month through PPC and other lead-acquisition efforts.

The folks at Weiss are very smart marketers, and very good at what they do. From Dr. Martin Weiss right down to their PPC guys. Their in-house copywriters are good -- some VERY good -- and they have Clayton Makepeace and his team (myself included) as the icing on the cake.

Not to mention a compliance department that -- while occasionally giving us copywriters minor headaches -- does a great job keeping everything on the up & up.

So to make a long story short: Their claim is probably UNDERSTATED if anything.

Oh, and they didn't keep any of the money from the sales of the 2009 Ultimate Depression Survival Guide book -- it all was donated.

Pretty amazing all-in-all. I've learned a tremendous amount just watching how the strategy all comes together.

Hope this helps,

Well, in that case they're doing about $200 per name (Money and Markets is a 500,000 list), which seems pretty darn good to me!
