I'm looking for a copywriter who willing to work with me to critique/optimize and proof read my sales page on the new product launch.

Actually, I've written the flow of my sales page but I need someone to optimize it.

Well, after working with me on optimization and proof read my sales page, I'll give you an iPhone application which I'll brand it with your business logo/teaser or whatever you want to put it on. (actually, it's my new product that will be launched)

After you got it, you can submit it to Apple's AppStore immediately which I'll work with you on that if you never did it.

I think this is fair for your work and I always glad to get a new friend.

Money does.

It's going to be hard for you to get a good copywriter to write you a $5 000+ letter for an iPhone app they probably won't use.

Thanks and I understand that.

However, I don't need a copywriter to write me a whole $5,000 sales letter but as I've stated earlier that I already have my copy with my desired flow. I just need some help on critique/optimization and proof read it.

Actually, I'm not care how much cost of the sales letter, because my $0 sales letter made me more than $20,000 now.

And one other thing, about the iPhone app, if you've read more detail about it. I didn't give you my iPhone app but I will create one FOR YOU. If you still don't want to use it to improve your business, you still not get back from me with empty hand.
(If you want this type of application for your business, you generally need to pay at least $1,000 to hire developer to do that.)

So, that's why I think it's FAIR because I'm not let you write the whole sales page, just critique/optimize and proof read it.

I hope you understand, I'm not try to offend as well, and now, actually, I got 2 warriors interesting on the deal.

No offense taken... but if you think your letter just needs a re-write, you're wrong.

This thing needs a complete and total makeover... it needs a USP... in fact it's a pretty bad letter.

I'm not trying to be a dick... just being honest.

The simple truth is good copywriters charge a premium... because they are good at what they do. They certainly don't write letters for $1 000 applications.

I'm telling you this because I know you are an excellent designer (you've done work for me before) and I don't think you quite realize how much work is in this project.

I dont know much about copywrighting, but one thing that stood out is frequent usage of "I"

its not about you - its about the customer

you also justify yourself, "I AM NOT A NEWBIE DEVELOPER" which should be implied but not outright stated. its like when I interview an indian to linkbuild for me, if the first thing he says is "I am not going to scam you sir" - then thats a red flag. he should not have to say it, but I should just know it from the assocaited signs (which you already have btw.. so this line if not necessary)

Thats the quote I don't get. If you've made $20,000 off your $0 sales letter then why not invest some of that into a good copy writer? Trying to set the price to an Iphone application contradicts your claim of not caring.

There are always 'copywriters' at ANY price and that's why it make no
sense to tell any posters here that their budget it too low or their
offer is ridiculous. Maybe for you but there are always warriors who
will be willing to work for whatever price advertised here.

They don't say it in the forum but in the PMs.

So I would suggest that copywriters on this forum stop beating
up on people who post their offer because it doesn't fit YOUR
pricing expectation.

Because it make no sense saying , "You won't get me at those
prices!" It's obvious if you don't respond or make an offer.

Ilve seen this a hundred times.

Poster makes offer. Some copywriters laugh at the offer.
Poster laughs at the copywriter because they got their
offer accepted by several warriors.

Here's what I was thinking..

First, I could do with a little app for one of my own products/brands. It's a bit early but I may be looking for something later.

BTW, do you know anything about converting a C# .NET 2.0 app to the Mac?

Anyway, the main thing I was thinking of was some kind of special arrangement, whereby I could offer my clients a very good price, heavily discounted.

That gives me an extra service I can help my clients with, while helping you spread the cost.

I get your point Raydal but the fact that something is ridiculous in no way means that there will not be takers. That doesn't define the word ridiculous. People do ridiculous things all the time and they are still ridiculous. I take it case by case. In this case you have a guy claming to have hauled in $20,000 and wanting to pay to increase the effectiveness of an alleged proven system with an app of dubious benefit (how is the copy writer even going to determine if the app will work as promised?).

So in this case yeah - its ridiculous but not based on the price but on the claim that you are making good money, don't care about price and yet don't want to make a conventional payment for a good copy writer.

OBVIOUSLY he does care about price. Its a contradiction that in this case is most definitely ridiculous. If you want to blow a little smoke then be prepared to have some of it blown back. Thats all I saw in this thread.
