Lightbulb Want to know if your Headline or Article title is any good?

hey good earthlings,

here is a pretty sweet tool that helps you analyze a headline or article title in terms of copywriting "mastery":

google search these kws: advanced marketing institute headline analyzer

[sorry, i'm not allowed to post a link since this is my first warrior forum post]

once you type in your headline or article title, click on the "submit for analysis" button and you'll be taken to a page where your headline is given a "grade" as a % score---the higher the better.

Apparently, top copywriters can reach scores of 50-75%.

my favorite way of using it is to make sure my article titles are compelling enough to catch the reader's eye (out of the dozens of ezine articles to compete with , a good title can make or break us---if what you're after are eyeballs, not backlinks). I'll type in my article title and most of the time I get a 20% or less on my title. So, I change it up a bit, trying to add more compelling words, and get it up to at least a 30% score.

End result: a more compelling line of copy.

i think this one's worth bookmarking
cheers,

Yeah, we know about this one.

Thanks for using Advanced Marketing Institute's Headline Analyzer! You submitted the following headline for Emotional Marketing Value analysis:
"free free free free free free free free free free free free free free free free free free free free"
Your Headline's EMV Score:
100.00%
This score indicates that your headline has a total of 100.00% Emotional Marketing Value (EMV) Words. To put that in perspective, the English language contains approximately 20% EMV words.
And for comparison, most professional copywriters' headlines will have 30%-40% EMV Words in their headlines, while the most gifted copywriters will have 50%-75% EMV words in headlines.
A perfect score would be 100%, but that is rare unless your headline is less than five words.
Not so terribly impressed with it, honestly.
