Hey I know it may be hard to give a consistent answer on this, but so that I have a vague idea about where to aim for, from your education or experience, what do you think are good percentages in terms of opt in conversation for the following; Blog side bar (mine currently is about 8%) Pop Up (currently I'm at about 6%) Focused opt in page (i'm at about 30%) Curious to hear others input. Not optin but free download (which contains ads to salespage) and OTO is getting up to 90% at times but typically 55 to 75%. That is random traffic, btw. So don't always assume you need optin. Remember the whole purpose is to get sales and if the optin slows the customer down getting there, the purpose is lost. In other words, would you rather have 8% optin or 90% download. Btw, the conversion from free DL to Salespage is about 30% within one day. Couldnt do that unless I get the free book in their hands first. |

If you are doing it yourself, create the best opt-in page/message you can conceive. Then, write out a few dozen options for every element. Test each combination that makes sense. You should end up with the highest converting combination. It's not as hard as it seems. Try it. Pick the ten configurations you think will do best first. Then take the top one and test it against some other configurations. Eventually you'll get a solid converting page. |
