New breakthrough in writing.... Writing in a darkroom!

Hi there (I originally posted this on the main forum, but think it would be better received here).

For all Warriors who write a lot (i.e copywriting, articles, blogs, ebooks, etc), let me introduce you to a tool I was recently introduced to.

On my mac this is called 'WriteRoom' and on a PC it is called 'Dark Room' (http://they.misled.us/dark-room).

The application is a no frills word processor which on launching, immediately turns your screen to black, and you are faced with just a blinking green cursor and your thoughts. Your desktop is totally replaced with the void of black space.

No distractions, no fancy buttons to press, just you alone with your thoughts.

I now use writeroom all the time, even to draft emails. On my mac, it will even read back the text so I can listen to it before I send. This works for really well for me.

Anyway, both mac and pc versions are free to try, and I encourage you to do so!

Hey Richard,

Looks pretty sweet! I reckon I'm guilty of spending too much time thinking about aesthetics rather than sorting out the substance first. Not sure how practical this tool will be for writing space ads but I guess it'll be handy for e-mails and the web.
