When it comes to selling a business plan type info product, for instance a cleaning business, restaurant business ect,
Do you think it is better to sell to people searching for how to start up that particular business or to the demographic that make up those professionals? So for the first one my headline would talk about how good this particular restaurant business is BUT the second one would show why someone that age, location would want to read the letter. What do you think? The particular niche I am in, according to google keyword tool, 480 people search for "keyword1 business" per month. Any thoughts? Ashley |

You should sell to the people who buy that type of product
![]() What does your research tell you? Who buys this type of business plan? Is it new people or people already in the market? Don't guess. And it also depends on how you're going to drive traffic. If you're only going to market to people who search for your keywords then you better target your promotion to THAT person or you're wasting your time. |

Offline Consulting: Liz - $12,000 her first month... Anthony - $7000 + $594 per month... {Confidential} - BIG up-front and $1000+ per month... Scott - $45,000 in 3 months! Don't you deserve the same unfair advantage they do? |

Thanks. Yeah I guess you are right, I am relying on google search engine traffic, so there is no point targeting a certain type of people, I need to target the people who are actually searching for it, whether they be old, young, male female.

Target the obvious, get that working and then branch out to other demos you think your product would sell to. Beginning with common sense or a gut feeling will lead you in the right direction.

Keep in mind, Ashley, when it comes to targeting your best prospects, what seems "obvious" can be way off. Kyle's advice is key because the "Collier conversation" you'll have with your prospect BEGINS with AdWords (or banner ads, email subject lines, etc.) and continues onto your landing page. So, your best guess can be costly if it's wrong. Doing that extra bit of research is money in the bank. | |
