Default Re: adwriting question

Here's the best PPC ad writing strategy I've used. It works great...

Steal.

Go to Spyfu.com. You can do a little without joining. This is most effective if you join, though.

1. Do a search for your main keyword
2. Look at the box that says "Top PPC Domains For 'Your Keyword'"
3. Click on the colored boxes and see what ad that company was running when the data was collected.

Here's what you just found out. You looked at the PPC leaders for your keyword and you see what ad they are using. Plus you can look at the what ad they were using for the past 6 months. As soon as you see them repeating an ad, you likely have a winner.

Model it.

Now this will get you started, but if you join you can do a lot more. For instance, what I do is download the spreadsheet of a competitor's campaigns and I sort by "clicks per day". And I look at the ads that are getting the clicks and model those.

This is not exact. Spyfu has an elaborate system of guessing. But I've found that this is a great way to get some ads to model that have a good chance of getting decent click through rates.

Hope that helps you out.
