Hello everyone,
I don't want to give you another please look at my sales page post, but I would like to see and study sales pages or articles or blogs or whatever that you think are really great. If you know of a page that you have saved or you have one of your own that your proud of, I would like to see it and study the structure and the persuasive ways the customer has been pulled into the copy. Maybe you know of a great site that explains the mechanics of the perfect sales page? Thanks very much for your time! Mm |

There really are no rules for what makes the perfect sales letter.
There are guidelines that most pros generally agree on, formulas like A.I.D.A., but at the end of the day writing effective copy is a somewhat artistic, and definitely subjective skill. What niches are you interested in writing copy for? Most of the really fine copywriters have some level of specialization in terms of niches. If you are totally clueless about copywriting read the classics in the sticky thread at the top: Caples, Schwab, Ogilvy, Collier, Hopkins and Schwartz. |

I don't think it is the opinion of the author that determines if it is a good sales page, but the results in terms of the number of conversions. Sometimes very small changes make a big difference in the number of conversions. I suggest you need to see evidence that the pages you are studying work.

Take a look at this page. It's not IM-sexy with a wild headline, fancy bullets, boxes arrows, buzzers or videos. But it's been up for at least 10 years and it pulls and pulls and pulls. Become a Resume Writer Oh, I'm not affiliated with the product in any way shape or form.

Thanks everyone for the info. You have given me some food for thought.
Loren, You bring up the term A.I.D.A and I think I've seen that before. Is it, Attention-Interest-. I don't remember the rest, I'll have to google it. Thanks very much for the replies! Mm |

You're asking to see some great copy and below I have a link to one of the best pieces of Internet copy ever written.
What makes it so great? The numbers. Over $20,000,000.00 in sales. And it was done WITHOUT a video... WITHOUT any proof elements... WITHOUT a single testimonial. The link to the letter is here: The Gary Halbert Letter or you can download a PDF here: http://www.marketingbrainfarts.com/rob_banks.zip I'd print it out and put it inside a 3-ring binder along side of all your other important copywriting stuff. |

I frickin' HATE the markets, and want no part of them, and reading that STILL makes me want to dig out two grand and send it to the guy. Great copy is a beautiful thing. | |
