Default I need some advice...

Not a newb, but still need some advice.

Ok, here goes.

What I need is some information on how to
develop a product for ClickBank. I am planning
the launch in about another month or two
but I want to be sure that I actually get it
right this time. The last, it fell through. My main
problem has been reading, reading, reading
and no action.

Now, I am ready to take action and get
some business taken care of. So, how
exactly will I be able to bring in some big
guns to help me get this thing into the top
ten? I have about $10,000 to invest in the
product itself. But, it will be purely an
informative product. This will work,
because I have the knowledge and
now I need to apply what I know.

There is a premier .com domain name
registered for the product, and I am sure
this is where it's at. I just need some advice
on a few things here and there...

Mainly, what I need to know is this.....

1.) What is the best, absolute best, merchant account that I can use?
2.) Who can point me in the right direction?
3.) I need a book that will spell out exactly all elements of a sales letter,
because of my ADD it makes it really hard to concentrate on that kind of stuff. So, I need a book, or a template if you will, that will show exactly where I put each and every one of the elements. This way, I don't keep wasting time.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

1. Most CB merchants use PayPal - while not a merchant account
it is a trusted provider of similar services.

Different merchant account companies have different standards
and willingness to work with "risky" products. I don't actually
think you need a merchant account to launch your product,
but if you want to have a continuity program a Merchant account
gives you flexibility in terms of billing PayPal does not.

2. regarding merchant accounts? Well, anybody in the business
of selling them will try to get you into a contract because they
earn commissions on your monthly fees. CardService is a big
one. You should look at the delivery script you'll be using
to protect your ebook or whatever and make sure the payment
gateway you'll be using is designed to interface smoothly with it.

If you run your own merchant account there are substantial
hassles with SSL certificates and you have to have your
gateway tested for security quarterly. The upshot is the
maintenance of such an account costs several hundred dollars
a year. Paypal is basically free and already secure, requires
no SSL certificate, nor quarterly security checks.

3. I presume you want to know about copywriting because you
wish to write the copy yourself. Refer to the sticky thread
at the top of the forum regarding copywriting books recommended
for people who wish to learn to write salescopy.

Good luck.

Hope this helps.

If I were you I'd be using that $10k to pay people to do things for you.

Writing copy takes years to learn... and while there is KIND OF a formula you can follow... it does change with every sales letter.

In other words... the formulas are very vague and mostly common sense... so most pros still take ages to figure out how to write the damn thing.

$10k is a decent chunk of change. You might be able to get on to one of the guys who do killer product launches and use it as a retainer.

But it'll only work if you're serious about hitting a home run, here.
