Default Just Bought A Stack of Copy Books

Hey everyone, I just got a whole bunch of books from the library and Borders.

I'm hoping to start making my own products soon to boost my income I'm hoping to get as much knowledge in copywriting as possible before I start.

I was wondering, could you guys help me decide what order to read them all?

Books:
The Ultimate Sales Letter - Dan Kennedy
Tested Advertising Methods - John Caples
Winning Sales Letters: From Prospect to Close - Ralph Allora
Advertising Secrets of the Written Word - Joseph Sugarman

This seems a like a lot to get into, so if any of you have any knowledge of these books and which order would be most beneficial, I'd love the help.

Another thing I'm wondering is, how do you guys manage all of this information and apply the massive amounts of information into your sales letters? Any organizational tips?

Thanks in advance Warriors.

Thao Tran

That's a wealth of information you have.

I possess only one book from your collection and it is "The Ultimate Sales Letter - Dan Kennedy" and I need to swear that I am in love with this magnificent person who has truly built and bred the new professionals in copywriting.

The way Kennedy writes is meant for a novice who is setting his first step in the vast world of CopyWriting.

I urge you to start your adventurous and student ride with Dan Kennedy's book.

I personally use a short notes to jot the points which I consider would be acting as a bookmark for further probing. And, the much better aspect would be to print the book and underline and note down your thoughts on it so that you can have a quick look later on.

I am a novice learning the intricacies and I appreciate every one on this forum who have suggested me in learning more and more. I had been corrected umpteen number of times, which I personally feel bad about, BUT, when it comes from the Masters I tend to take the advices and am working to make myself better.

Welcome to the CopyWriting world.

Agreed. Start with The Ultimate Sales Letter. It's the Rich Dad, Poor Dad of the copywriting world.

I'll third that. The Ultimate Sales Letter is one of my 'go-to' books.

Now you've got them, make sure to use them. Don't leave them standing on a shelf.

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome. I find this subject very interesting and am currently eating it all up.

I've taken your suggestions and started with Dan Kennedy's book. It's very interesting so far.

Thanks for your suggested order Ray, I'll probably read it in this order

A question for Ralph Allora's book, have you read it? It's new and seems promising, but not sure if anyone else has experienced it.

As I wrote elsewhere just a few minutes ago...

you might want to check out Jason Fladlien's copywriting courses and offers. They're great!

Just PM him for where to find them and which one he would recommend for your needs...

They'll get you writing fast.

And then keep studying the books to deepen your knowledge.

Just my 2 cents...

It doesn't really matter which order you read them in.

All this time you are spending waiting for others to tell you which order
to read them is time you could be spending actually reading.

Just read them. Then read them again.

If you can get any of them on audio as well, that would make great listening
while in your car (if you drive places).
