Quick Google search is says better to use: This will create professional branding when they bookmark your page and separates you from amateur sites.

A favicon is good to a customer who is gonna bookmark the page to send it to a friend, share it with a family member and people who are in need.
Other than that I dont think that it will help the customer in any point of view. It's the emotion that grabs the visitor into becoming a customer, no matter what graphics are used on the pitch page. IMHO. I might be wrong. I would like to stand corrected by the legends here. |

It's a small change - I wouldn't expect it to influence
sales numbers much. While it's true that little things can increase conversions, it's also true that it's the strength of your offer and the clarity with which communicate have the greatest effect on sales. Improve your offer, and see more sales, basically. A lot of other things are of comparatively small consequence. |

The best reason for having a favicon is if you look in your favourites folder you will more than likely have many websites bookmarked.
When you look through the list you will notice many of these do not have a favicon so all look the same- apart from what you saved them as. With a favicon they will immediately notice your website and once bookmarked may come back to your site and buy. I recommend having them on your websites. There easy to put up and create. |

The favicon just adds a slight more layer of class to your site, but I don't anyone is going to buy something based on a favicon.
