Hi Copy Warriors, I am trying to devise full page direct response advert, the type the old guard recommonded and prefered. That is the 3 or 4 colum mainly text full page ads as practiced by masters like Gary Halbert, Dan kennedy and Joe Karbo. Actually Joe karbo's 'lazy way to riches' is the type of ad. style I am talking about. So are there any ready made templates for such style ads that I can just plug in the text in the ready made template. I tried using Microsoft Publisher but had few problems. Are there any ready made tempaltes then anywhere I can source??? thanks in advance. smak |

I've done these sorts of ad - it's an exercise in typesetting to squeeze a lot of text onto an 8.5 x 11" sheet. I don't use a template but I do use a PDF layout program to do it. sample at http://advertisingswami.com/images/a...hed coupon.jpg |

Hi loren Your feedback is always great and prompt I noticed. Can I just check with what you mean by 'pdf layout'. Are you reffering to some seperate software/program? look fwd to your reply. regards smak |

I use a software that lays stuff out in a few different Windoze-type formats - but it publishes to PDF as well. PDF is Portable Document Format and it works pretty universally. What you see with a PDF is what you get - it's like a picture in some ways but the actual text is generated on the viewing computer, typically from a set of over 100 fonts on the machine, so the format you sent it out in will be very, very close to the format the reader gets to see it in. It's very useful for doing stuff that's ready to print because, as I said, what you see is what you get. My PDF software is something I can share with you - I have several viral software programs in development and it's one of them. No instructions but it's pretty simple to figure out. Runs on Windows SP2 or SP3. Here's the link: http://avocart.com/1/53aq/order |
