Dan, You've got a beautiful family. As far as your copy goes... you could really dig much deeper into your reader's frustrations. Some dude with a fancy French name once said something like... most men lead lives of quiet desperation. IMHO the dude was onto something. That's why before you even get into your own story you need to remind them just how crappy their life is right now. How they *know* they could be doing so much more. Hit them with a series of 6-8 bullets. A simple way to do it is to start with a list of undesirable feelings and just start a bullet with each word... Frustrated... you're living small... when you know in your gut you should be living so much larger... Tired... of being bossed around by people who aren't even fit to tie your shoelaces. Confused... why some people find it easy to get everything they want from life... while you keep working harder and harder with precious little to show for it. etc. That kinda thing... There's more but I've gotta hit the sack. Hope this helps. |

Nice! One thing you should try, is get the video and the whole optin form / submit button to be above the fold... optimize for 1024x768... The way it is now, only 1/4 of the video is showing, and no form... Also the button at the bottom of the page should be bigger.. make it scream... |

The first thing I thought when I saw the page, without watching the video (I usually pause the video UNTIL after I read some stuff and think it is something I want) was "What are you selling?" Is it about how to make money? Or how to be successful ... personally? Also the bullets, they are pretty vague ... and general. Nothing stands out. I would pick something, the main thing that your targeted market really wants ... and focus on that. Or at least make them more specific and benefit driven. It looks really nice though! Also like secure web said, move your whole optin box so it is above the fold. Above the fold means that you do not need to scroll down the page to see it. It is in full view without any scrolling. The videos seem like you want to make my life "better" - but that's a relative term. I think you're on to something, it just needs some fine-tuning. Right now, I'm not sure who exactly your customer is. You're covering all the bases, from wealth to relationships, etc...but IMHO if you're making your customer guess why they're reading your sales letter (i.e. pick which reason applies to you), they'll go elsewhere. What exactly would be MY rockstar life (without going through all the pain of personal change, development, and growth)? Help me define that in your letter and you'll have a winner. |

Do you guys have any other ideas for micro niche? Here are a few I was thinking would work for me: How to eliminate depression how to conquer stress hot to fix your life how to be happy 365 days a year how to make your dreams a reality how to increase your self esteem how to win friends or make people like you how to own your life how to find your purpose in life Of course I can spice up the titles but these are just a few I was thinking about. Any opinions?

Hey Dan, I really like these two ideas you had: how to be happy 365 days a yearThese seem to still encompass the 'cover everything' yet kind of get to the point, so that the reader will realize it is a 'cover everything' type of course. I particularly like the second one. You think of "rockstars" as being like that, not taking no for an answer, doing what they want without notice to others objections. But, I am not a professional copywriter! But from my perspective, I like them. They are specifically vague. Which may be good. By the way I took a look at your sales letter. I really like it. I would move that testimonial from madison michele and move it up though. Maybe right under the video. that testimonial seems very geniune and she has a pleasant and recognizable face. Plus the TV guide icon adds to it! I dont know if this is just my browser, but your popup gets put behind the video when it comes up. Maybe its just me. |

Thanks. Thanks and I am going to make the first 2 weeks free to all Warriors so they can check it out. I will post the links this week. Also here is what RockStar is all about: "We are all born RockStars. Think about it, even before you are born they throw a party for you. They take pictures of you and video while you are in the womb like the paparazzi! when you are finally born, everyone comes to see you. All the family and friends come to the hospital just to get a peek at us. Then everyone wants to hold us, kiss us, play with us. We get all the love and attention. Then somewhere down the line when we start school we are told to get off the stage and sit in the crowd of other former RockStars. Some of us sit in the front row (the popular kids) and some of us are sent to the nosebleed seats (far back). But we never lose our RockStar spirit. Its just pushed so far down we forget about it. So its time to awaken that again! Come out of retirement and Put a big smile on your face! Have fun! And Be the RockStar in Your Life You Were Born to Be!" Would love any other suggestions or tips on the sales page or choosing a micro niche for my product. Thanks everyone...

I signed up for your email list a few days ago because I was intrigued by some interests we share. To me, you have a credibility problem. You're kind of pale, which if it's a choice is fine, but I'd expect you to have a bit of a tan if you've got your toes in the sand making bank. Lighting issue maybe. Try using a blue gel on your lights or something. Maybe a different color short would flatter your color better. You also imply that that you've studied yogic systems "millions of years old" (or something like that) - which to somebody who knows the history of yoga is a warning sign that you don't know what you're talking about. Admittedly, people who already know this stuff are not your target market. Still, human beings haven't even been speaking to each other for more than a few hundred thousand years. The notion that there is some spiritual tradition older than about 5000 is fatuous to people who know anything about anthropology, which is quite a lot of people due to things like high school history and the Learning Channel. Anyway, I think it's a fun notion for an info product. You just need to target it at people who are more likely to be turned-on by your broad act rather than turned-off. I didn't read a lot of the copy. The video was fun but I didn't take it very seriously. |

As far as the tan, its been a little cool here in north cali and just had a new baby boy so been home most of this year. Tanning is the last thing on my mind or on my list priorities with 3 kids if you know what I mean. as far a yoga and yogic secrets dating back over 1 million years. I dont mean traditional yoga or gym yoga etc. Yoga just means to unite. To Yoke yourself to your higher consciousness. It is also a considered a science. It does date back over 1 million years and we didnt need verbal communication in the past nor do we really need it today. Westerners have come to rely on it and gadgets like cell phones. Back then they didnt need a cell phone to communicate with each other. Ever hear of someone saying hey I was just thinking of you before you called me or emailed me etc. Happens to me daily. Thanks again for all the tips brother.

I like your site! Two things I noticed. When I started to leave the site, the popup appeared behind the video and I couldn't tell what it was. Second, In the video, at times you are shaking your head, even when you're giving your best benefits. that body language means no (or I am not telling the truth), you should be nodding if you want your viewers to agree with you. Keep it up, you're on the way to a great site!! |

Well, if you want to hinge your sales message even partially on a dubious thesis, that's fine. I wouldn't. If I were in your shoes I'd keep my claims of spiritual wisdom and mysterious knowledge of Pleistocene civilization modest and emphasize making money and winning love, which are practical goals many people share that don't eliminate the large group of people who regard recorded history as starting about 8000 years ago - who will think you're weird and won't buy your program. In persuasion, if you want somebody to embrace a far-out message, you don't start with the far-out part. You get them to agree with simple, obvious things in the concensus reality most (Westerners) agree on. From there you ask for further concessions that "yes, that might be possible" - agreements are built one upon another until the prospect says "yes" to an idea that, initially, he regards as preposterous. I'm not questioning your belief system about pre-verbal higher intelligence in proto-humans. That's your belief, but I doubt it's the belief most people share and it's an impractical competitive angle from a marketing point-of-view. I'm just sayin' - ya know? |

Thanks Loren and that why I am here asking all of you for advice. I really appreciate it all and am taking notes. Peter you are the 2nd person to say the popup goes behind video? kinda strange. I will have to check into that. It is Robert Planks plugin. Also I am going to redo the video since I originally did it at 2am after a full day of coaching private clients and doing a teleseminar. I also tried using a teleprompter for the first time and it was a mistake for me since it took alot of energy out of my video and as you said, messed my body language all up. Thanks for all the tips and I am taking notes on all of it. Thats what I love about the WF. You guys are awesome! |

Okay, to start, I agree with Loren. The thing about million-year secrets presents a credibility issue for me. I personally believe in the possibility that humanity has been around that long but to subscribe to such a belief I almost have to believe in the stuff that Madame Blavatsky supposedly channeled over 100 years ago. Essentially, she said that humanity is presently in its 5th of seven evolutions, the last being the people of Atlantis and before that Lemuria. But I’m getting way off topic. The point is, there will be people that take issue with the million year reference. Here’s how I look at anything iffy in a presentation: I can leave it out and it won’t matter or I can leave it in and it might hurt me. I think leaving it in could hurt you. I think you come across in the videos as engaging and sincere. You hesitate a bit in each one but I don’t see that as a problem as it lends to your being a ‘real’ person. There is something I think will hurt you a lot in the long run and that’s the picture you have in your header. Please don’t take offence but you look almost like an angry rapper or something. Had this not been a critique presented on WF and I happened by your site, I would have clicked away seeing that scowl. You’re into personal development and I believe you’ve got to come across with smiles or at least a neutral image rather than the look of anger. It could be that I’m just not your demographic. I was born right smack in the middle of the boomer years. Your program is the rock star secrets of life. Okay, to me rock star means hedonism and debauchery. I had that stuff mastered years ago and now I want to be on the other side of the coin. I have no issue with rock and roll. In fact, I love it. But I don’t easily relate it to personal development. Again, maybe I’m not your demographic but why narrow your field when you could have everyone seeking ‘life secrets’ in your camp with just a few minor adjustments to your approach? You have the domain maketheworldyourstage.com. That has a lot broader appeal. Maybe you don’t want to appeal to a broad market and are attempting to brand yourself as the rock star self-help guy… I don’t know. And finally, I like the ‘jump and the net will appear’ thing. I relate to it. 25 years ago when I decided to get off the ‘rock star’ path I ran into a teacher who touted the same concept only presented it a little differently. He said, ready, fire, aim. Again, same concept as jump… There is a drawback to that approach though. It scares the hell out of analytical people. They don’t relate to it at all. Left brain thinkers can’t stand the uncertainty of such an approach. And though it appeals to me and maybe half of the population, you might be alienating a lot of folks with it. I’m sure that one of your additional seven principles might have a broader appeal. You might want to lead with that. I realize I sound very critical with this review but I believe that’s why you asked for reviews in the first place. If you’ve identified a younger audience you might be right on target with what you’re doing. But the personal development field is huge and in my opinion you could be harvesting a lot more profit with some relatively minor adjustments aimed at the masses. Good Luck! |

I am less experienced than most of the forum, but may shed a little different light on the subject. Some quick points. Agree with both above posters on the "million years" As soon as I heard it, I stopped listening and started dwelling on it. You lost credibility right away. If you must, maybe "thousands". I found the background a little distracting. I first thought, as a marketer, was "Why doesn't he have something written on the white board to support his message". But really, I think a better background would be less distraction, and perhaps something that doesn't look like it was filmed in a corner of your basement. AS an extension of that, you introduce yourself as a Doctor who made $300,000 and your appearance makes you look like you just got home from a drive-by-shooting. Maybe a little harsh, but I'm supposed to take advice from you? But, I agree with travelinguy, maybe I'm not your demographic either. Last. I liked your family shot and helped restore your credibility and "nice-guy" image, but still not necessarily your authority. I hope this helps. Best of luck. |

| Well, you've narrowed down your audience for sure. In fact, I think that age group is still out there getting their asses handed to them and finding out that they need to do things differently. I went to a Tony Robbins one-day 'event' 12 years ago. During a break a bunch of people gathered around the guru to get autographs and chat it up with the larger-than-life personality. There was a 15-year old boy and his twin sister there and Robbins had a lot of praise for the twins commenting that being interested in a better life at that age was commendable and not so common. He said that most of the people he attracted were in their 40s and older. Interesting that Robbins himself wasn’t even 40 at the time. I've been a student of self-help and personal development since I was in my late 30s. And I'd only started to think about getting my head on straight in my mid 30s. It was a great idea and I made a few moves in that direction but the lure of fun and games always seemed to win out. I distinctly remember thinking that there would be plenty of time for 'serious' stuff when I got older. I remember reading Think and Grow Rich (dozens of times) and the author talks about how many people aren't ready for law of attraction principles (no matter how you cut it, that's what self discovery is all about) until they're in their 50s and even beyond. And there's a lot of supportive evidence and opinion on that in the personal development field as well. I'm just sharing some of the stuff I've found out since I began learning. I think you'll have a lot more success by focusing on a larger, more 'ready' demographic. But if you're at all like me, you'll take in the info and still go your own way because that's the way of the world, especially for guys. My dad had so many solid answers for me coming up but I wouldn't be caught dead listening to him or anyone from his generation. We just gotta do it our own way. And that's one of the things that make us wise later in life... Peace. |
