Hello Warriors. I am trying to search for some info paid or free to help me on writing a good copy for a purpose of prospecting. Most IM info is basically email copy for their own list. Meaning, people are subscribed to them. Now, I need is something for like a "cold email". The recipient have no idea who I am, my business, etc. Thanks! |

Sounds a bit like spam. What exactly are you doing? |
| Thought About Offline Consulting? Fiona - $5,500 + $600/m 1st Week... Anthony - $7k + $594/m... Liz - $12k 1st Month... Rob - $7k + $800/ 1st Month... Scott - $45,000 in 3m... 20/yo Jock 6-Figure Client 2nd Month Don't you deserve the same unfair advantage? | |

Hi Kyle. I know it has a potential to be a spammer that's why I need some info about how to do it ethically. My initial email is not really to sell immediately but engage the person to a conversation. I guess if I will not sell nor offer anything yet, it's not a spam. Any idea? Thanks! |

Better idea: find someone with a ezine listof good prospects for your business, who accepts ads, and run an ad in their ezine.

There is no good way to go about what you want to do. You may be in the wrong business or have the wrong product. Telemarketing is the most effective means of cold prospecting in terms of time spent per prospect. You have to get clear on who your ideal customers are - it's usually most effective today to target local businesses. There are a lot of books that cover how to do this - get past the "gatekeepers" and so forth. If you MUST be sending spam, why not subscribe to a LOT of those offers you see for free stuff. You can also join safelists. This way you can easily get 100s of spam pieces every day and sort through them to see which ones capture your attention and imitate them. BTW - best to do you mailing to a safelist as well. The MadVlad is a big one you might check out. |

| Sounds like co-registration to me... Quote:
He is probably using co-reg lists, which is not spam, although some might view it like that. Might depend on the service you are using and how you are going about it whether it would be real spam or not... OP- Are these lists coming from CO-Reg lists? Is that why its a 'cold' email?

Guys. I was reading some articles what kind of email is a spam or not. If the email was sent not in bulk and personalized, this is not a spam. The letter does not offer or sell anything to the recipient. Malibumentor, I am reading some info on cold calling and top sales person will tell you that this is the least effective way. Nobody wants to receive a cold call and the sales person start to pitch in. Maskedmarketer, I basically getting their email via their website. With email, there's no pressure at all and they can read it at their convenient time. Less interruption compare to cold call. |

good salespeople realize unsolicited email is of low value in getting new business and would not bother with the method you are choosing. I know from personal experience. You'll have to discover in your own way. Good luck.
