Beginning Copywriters

I need copywriters for a $3 million launch we will be doing in fall 2010. Since I will be managing the launch I won't be doing the copy myself, only supervising and tweaking it.

I also have lots of little projects (like two this coming week) where I would like to have a couple of people on hand to write some copy for me.

Here's what I am going to do...

I want to get 5-7 beginning copywriters who want to learn how to write copy in my style. You will be writing emails, short-form copy, catalog copy, squeeze page copy, adwords landing page copy, advertorials--you will learn to write it all.

The pay for each piece of copy will vary, but it will be consistent with the quality of the work you provide. If you do a good job you'll get work regularly from me. If not you probably won't hear from me again.

You need to be able to write quickly and according to guidelines you are given.

Here's how you can apply:

Send an email (NO PRIVATE MESSSAGES!!!) with your contact information and sample(s) of your copy work either attached or linked to from the body of the email. You can send your email to:

If you can't figure out the above, then you're not smart enough for this work. If you can't follow the directions above, then you're not smart enough for this work.

One more thing...

Ok, two more things...

The people who end up writing for the launch in the fall will be those who have proven themselves throughout the year.

Also I understand that I am asking for beginning copywriters--your writing sample doesn't have to even be copy, just something that proves you can write well.

Email is the best way I talk to my clients. If need be, I call them.

FYI for repliers...

I have lots of emails (good) and lots of samples (even better.) I will be looking them over and replying to people over the next day. If you want to be considered, send something pronto. If you've already sent something, don't send it again--I probably have it.

Hi Antipot,

Thanks for the opportunity to tell you more about myself.

First, I want to point out that my mom thinks I write gooder than most people. And my mom is tough.

Second, I invented the envelope. Yup, before me direct mail was just people trying to send pieces of paper. When someone tried to send more than one page it would get all mixed up.

Third, I was the one who gave Vince Offer the phrase "you'll love my nuts" for his Slap Chop commercials. You know how great that was.

Plus, I got real good grades in 8th grade English. Like mostly B's and even one A. So I know I can teach English writin.

So you can see how anyone could learn lots from me about writin for the interwebs and stuff.
