Dear professional copywriters that are willing to help. I've hired one of the guys who frequent this forum for my sales letter. It's a "secret membership site" for 1000 people and I want to sell lifetime memberships for $197. I'm gonna offer list building training and other internet marketing information. I will focus on the list building since these 1000 people will get the first mover advantage when I launch a 2up later in 2010. They also get free lifetime membership to the 2up. Some people will probably think I'm greedy or evil for planning such a thing, but I think it is a good idea and my intentions are to make all the 1000 people make money and to make the coming 2up members happy too by offering good products. I'm not planning to pretend to be the expert. I will hire experts. Anyway, I have an opt in site that sucks right now. While the copywriter is working on making my sales letter great, I think it will be a good idea to improve the opt in page, and maybe try to get 100 000 subscribers so that I can just send an email to them about opening up the 1000 slots and sell out fast. Any good ideas anybody? My idea is to change it to: "Who else wants to make $500 per sale... and get the opportunity to win a brand new car!" and put down some curiosity bullet points that I have no idea how to write, and maybe offer another report since the graphics pack didn't seem to be as popular as I had hoped. I would be eternally grateful for some help and advice. |

Here you go: 1. Get everything above the fold. 2. Test different header graphics or no graphics at all. Something about them made me want to close my page while they were loading. They look nice after loading, but that won't matter if the page is closed before they fully load. 3. Read the blog post in my signature. You are guilty as charged of this huge mistake that nobody thinks about. 4. Move the box graphic up. Maybe put the box on the left or the right with the text and opt-in on the opposite side. I hope that helps. |

Thank you KristiDaniels. I will show your article to the web guy who's working on the site. Any ideas for alternative text? |

How are you driving traffic to your sqeeze page? If you're using PPC is the "theme" of your ads what you mentioned above? (The copy that says: "Who else wants to make $500 per sale") If so you may want to rethink it as it sounds sketchy ... and like many other ads. Also you may not attract people to your list that make the most sense for your new and exclusive membership site. (Just a thought to consider) |
