hey, was just wondering how important it is to have a blog theme that matches the rest of the site? I know that your order page should be relatively the same, but when they are just looking around? I am in the process of building a new site, and started looking around for wp themes with matching html or css templates ... cant really find any! but am wondering if it is something I should have done custom ... if it is important. Any thoughts? Ashley |

It depends - if your sales/conversion page contains your blog then it will matter, if it's entirely independent (eg: not tied in the same page) it won't matter. It shouldn't have any effect, but obviously you want to ensure your theme looks similar or is themed (the general theme of your blog design) similarly. If you can try to make them the same, it will increase user alertness since they will be reassured that they're on the same site as oppposed to clicking a link and being taken to another site with an entirely different design. |

Cool thanks for the reply. Yeah I suppose if it is similar enough then that is okay. My past blogs have mainly been used to update customers, or soft sell something coming up. So it probably wont matter. Thanks! | |
