Default matching benefits to emotions

In a sales letter, matching the benefits of your product or service to the dominant resident emotions of your prospect is vital.

The best article I've seen on the subject was written by Clayton Makepeace back in 2006 ...

Copywriting techniques : Make your product benefits sparkle | The Total Package

If you're the least bit interested in improving your copywriting ability, this article is a must read.

That's great reading and re-reading. Thank you. (Now I have to go back and check some of my previous mailings and cringe...)

I printed this out and read it a few times.

Clayton explains this well here. For those looking for more
on how to do this process get Drew Eric Whitman's
excellent book "Ca$hvertising". Whitman explains it
equally well from his own point-of-view.

Thanks Loren.

Michel Fortin also has an excellent article on the subject ...

One highlight: He describes the difference between advantages and benefits.
