Tip A marketing person once told me........

Writing Tips....

A marketing person once told me that he had to talk to his audience as if he were their very knowledgeable neighbor (not friend). Relate the experiences HE had and tell them what THEY could expect. Not to remind them of their past negative experiences, that might turn them off again.

Create expressions that give the most "punch" and ways to make them stand out. There can't be too many or they lose their punch.

Stay clear, precise, relatively short and to the point. Look out for confusing sentences/descriptions. Look out for redundancies and mutterings that turn a piece boring.

Find examples of sales letters that are already written... I actually keep all the sales emails from different marketers in a file... to learn from them.

Find someone to proof read your peice before you publish it.

Also, keep a clean nose, don't try no-doze, you don't need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows.

Yep good advice, find someone to proof read (proofread) your peice (piece) before posting it.

Who would you trust more?

A knowledgeable neighbour... or a knowledgeable friend?

Who Wants To Be The Next AUTHORITY In Their Niche? Article Marketing as it should be – that builds your authority, pre-sells for more sales, based on YOUR product. (More...)

HAHA!! Thanks Subtle... for proving my points exactly LOL!!

Paul... Well I feel there's pro's and con's to trusting one or the other. I think it would depend on what the information is, and how I choose to use it or not use it.

Probably one of the worst con's to trusting a friend, is that, in the end if things don't work out... it could get ugly and lose a friendship. (it's happened to me before trying to go into a business with a friend.)

And personally... I wouldn't ever try to sell anything... to a friend.
