I am planning to set up a new office in my hometown. I am looking to hire 2 content writers and 2 programmers. I need your help in designing an advertisement for the same. For the most copywriting books that i have read, they talk about "how to write, to sell a product" etc, which is less specific about recruitment ads. I understand that as a copywriter i have to make an interesting and informative ad but i am finding it difficult to understand what should be my approach for a recruitment ad. Are there any guidelines set in the advertising industry for recruitment ads? Some research that i have already done
Please suggest me
Please suggest me ideas, guide me on how i should go about it. Considering English is not their first language, (In India, but they do understand English very well) i can't use common slangs/words used in western world. |

Okay, you've done a decent job of identifying the type of person you want. The issue is that you're not very clear on what you want them for. You say: "I am planning to set up a new office in my hometown. I am looking to hire 2 content writers and 2 programmers." You've told us that this is for an Internet Marketing gig. You're going to have to briefly describe what Internet Marketing is because your prospects probably won't know. Either that, or just say marketing firm. Then you're going to need a better headline. "Trainees Wanted" is too vague. Get more to the point with the headline and say: "Writers & Programmers Wanted." Then go into the details in the body of your ad. |
