Default Feedback on Squeeze page video?

Hi my fellow Warriors,

I've recently created my first ever squeeze page video for my first ever product and would appreciate your suggestions and feedback on how it can be improved.

10 Minute Corporate Fat Loss Plan: The Quick and Easy Fat Loss for Busy Corporate Professionals

This is for the pre-launch before I switch to another video and eventually show a sales page.

thanks in advance!

By the way, it'll be great if you can help post some comments on the website as well.

Nice!

Really like the video, did you make it yourself or have someone do it for you?

10 Minute Corporate Fat Loss Plan: Simple Fat Loss Formula For The Overworked Professional.

Just a slight modification to the headline for another idea.

Sorry, I cannot watch the video currently. Maybe in a bit.

Thanks Ambri, I came up with the concept and script. Got someone else to put it together for me.

Thanks AdmiralGloom, I might give that headline a try.

I liked the video and the humor, but I am not sure about the marketing? Over weight individuals might get offended by it? How long was it? It could have been a tad shorter.

Thanks Sylvia.
its slightly over 2 mins. I have actually condensed it a lot from the original 4 mins +.

Is there anything else that you felt would make the video more emotionally appealing? Which part did you feel was offensive?

This is actually exactly what your looking to do. The opposite of love is indifference, if at any point people feel indifferent to your copy your not stirring up enough emotions..

I think it was Bruce who said it. If you appeal to everyone you appeal to no one.

Thanks Ross.

How can I make the webpage and video more inviting to click on? Should I enable auto play?

After watching the video I have to say the quality and presentation is excellent. If you were a person wondering how you got fat then you offer all kinds of incentive to get the free report.

But is this really the best angle to approach?

I'm going to assume that your ultimate goal is to sell products that help people lose weight and your squeeze page is designed help build your list of potential customers.

If that's true then you have to look at who your potential client is. I mean if you were overweight and looking to be thinner what would you rather know more about: How to be thinner or how you got fat?

My informal (and totally unscientific) survey suggests people are looking for a solution to be thinner and not reasons as to why they got fat.

Now your position that "understanding how you got fat at work is the first step in losing weight" is a valid one. Your video has great educational content to exasperate a problem people can identify with.

What I see missing in your video are solutions to those problems that they can only get in your free report. Instead what you've done is offered other "hidden" reasons why they are getting fat and using that to entice people to download your report.

My suggestion would be to change the 5 bullet points at the end of the video to something more solution oriented. For example:

How to stop creeping weight gain after you hit 30
How to avoid the #1 cause of weight gain
The secret to ending uncontrollable snacking in the office

If I saw those kind of bullet points at the end of your video I would be more inclined to download your report.

These are of course only suggestions and the only way to confirm which has better results is to split test the two videos.

I hope you find something useful out of all this!

Nice clean-looking template. Sean McAlister's JVPress, I see.

But...

The headline's not cutting it.

The video took too long to load (for me on High Speed Broadband in Paris)

and the big one...

The audio is "muddy" and you have a Chinese accent. Get yourself a professional Voiceover guy - with an American accent if that's the market you're going after.

I would put the opt-in on the right of the video - "above the fold" so people don't have to scroll down. Configure it to appear at a certain time (you can do that with JVPress).

Do you really need that fancy header? With the guy in the suit showing his ripped abs? Taking up a lot of space.

As for the pitch? I zone out with all weight-loss stuff so I can't help you with that one. But I do know that a sedentary life behind a desk...and snacking on sh*t from the vending machine...and business lunches - spell disaster for your health and well-being. Oh yeah - factor coffee into that as well.

Apart from that. Good effort.

Update: looking at it again...I don't think you even need a headline. The still on the video says it all - fatty at his desk with the girl pointing out that "Corporate Life Can Make You Fat".

You don't need the header or the headline. Just distracts from that great image. Fatty doesn't look too happy.

Scroll down so that just the video is at the top of the page and you'll see what I mean.

And piss off the facebook and Twitter badges. They're in the way. Do you really think people are going to be so excited about this they can't wait to spread the word? I think not.

Thanks Metronicity. I've checked out the JVPress configuration options and theres no way to change time delay for optin forms. The time delay is only for buttons. I know what you know where your coming from as well and I would like to hide all distractions and just have the optin form appear at the right time, but unfortunately, that can't be done. I'll try to have the form on the side. But that would mean shrinking the video...

The only suggestion I have is to add a privacy statement below your opt-in button, i.e.

We HATE SPAM & will protect your privacy!
We will not share your information with anyone else!

as one example (stolen shamelessly from another random page with an opt-in.) Or at the very least, test your page both with and without the privacy statement to see if it makes a difference in the click-through rate. Or more likely, to show how big a difference it makes having it.
