Default Be brutally honest - What do you think of this resource box?

Hello!

I have about 60 articles on Eza, but the clickthrough rate is very low. I have decided to change the resource box.

Tell me what you think of this (basically I am promoting 2x products):

"If you want to master Internet marketing and drastically improve your chances of succeeding online, Internet Marketing millionaire will help you to kick start your business by sharing with you the EXACT strategies used by big name marketers to make millions.

If you are a beginner and want to learn how to create your website in html get your FREE EBOOK here."

A couple of thoughts.

The second paragraph is not congruent with the first. "Internet strategies used by the big-name gurus" and "creating a website in HTML" are two different things.

Second, be more specific. Generalities don't persuade.

I agree with the above, it's like your talking about one thing, then randomly skip to the next. Also, try offering a intensive like a free eBook, this will help build your list too!

People who need a "kick start" are not normally in a position to use successfully the techniques big name marketers use to make millions. (Many of their techniques require money, a huge list or pre-existing contacts.) This claim is therefore not credible and not appealing.

Send it back for a rewrite!

Did I understand you correctly, here, Beatrice: you have the same resource-box on 60 different articles?

In addition to making suggested changes - have several resources boxes. Not sure of the magic number - but the more unique the better.

Hello!

Currently I have slightly different boxes on 60 articles but the message is very similar. With the new resource box, I was thinking of using the same message worded slightly differently? I guess this is wrong

All right so basically, I cannot promote both items in the same resource box?

Hello!

I have not got an ebook to give away and there is no list building. I am directly promoting an affiliate product.

I would agree with what folks said above. Create two resource boxes and have each one entice the reader to your website with a promise of SOMETHING... "learn six secrets that have made big-name marketers millions"

OR

"I'll walk you through the HTML you need for your very first website in my free Ebook."

There must be some variation in your articles where some are more likely the sort of thing a newbie would read and some are more likely to appeal to those with more experience. Like an article on backlinks won't have newbies reading it.

Hope this helps.

This particular product does not require any of the techniques you mentioned as the beginners will be guided/mentored step by step. But thanks for the advice, I think I need to include this information in the resource box.

Thanks very much for your advice. I will definitely implement it. Having 2x resource boxes DOES make sense. Thanks very much.

Beatrice,

It's best to promote just one offer in any direct response communication with your prospect.

And be sure to make the offer in your resource box congruent with the article. That way, the offer will be something the reader is interested in.

Here's an excellent article on the subject. This will help you get maximum results with your resource box ...

Its too bad you're not a War Room Member because David Raybould has a great PDF in there about tripling your click thru rate with a good resource box.

I may have just had one of those "duh!"-slap-the-forehead moments, but is it bad to have the same resource box for all of your articles??
