Default Double Speak... Reading Between The Lines

I'm asking this of copywriters specifically...

You see lots of products... this, that and the other. As we all do. And it's interesting sometimes analyzing the psychology used within any given product presented by a marketer.

Now, as you know... marketers come in all shapes and sizes, colors too. They peddle this and that. Some for want of money. Some for power. Others, control. And in some cases a combination.

As copywriters, you all read a great deal - I know you do, you all, we all, have a voracious appetite for more knowledge (although a fat lot of bloody good it does us sometimes) ...but some marketers of whatever system it is that they're peddling, isn't all it's cracked upto be.

Can you point us in the direction of some classic, well known examples of copywriting double speak? (In that you have to read between the lines to uncover the subliminal marketing message within the text)

Wheat and chaff...

I think the best way to spot BS is to familiarize yourself with the authentic.

The deeper you go with the truth, the more obvious the BS will become.

Odd question. Double speak basically involves using logical fallacy - such as when More cigarettes used to advertise "gives you More" - making your brain register the brand itself as "additional". In other examples of the use of the word "more" - the other half of the comparison is missing, so your brain's bridging assumption systems will fill in the other half automatically.

Is that the type of thing you're looking for? As far as subliminal - all language has subliminal impact.

Apparently you can...for a while...

It requires claims of expertise, a female avatar and lots of threads about male vs female to generate attention. A new "formula for success"?
