Having read your posts on "big gig" copywriting - I was hoping this might be just what you are looking for.

You are right, but I have to admit, I HATE financial type stuff - it bores me silly. I am one of these writers that I write from the heart, and if I don't 'feel' something, I can't put my all into it - in other words, my copy is at it's best when it's a topic I love.

Financial stuff for me is like....watching paint dry! My sister on the other hand, has a degree in Economics and LOVES this type of work - shame she isn't a copywriter!

Yes - you are so right...

It's best only to write for stuff that you really like - or better still-

Things you are truly passionate about.

And if that doesn't include Financial Newsletters - then so be it!

Agreed, while the old saying "do what you love and the money will come" is about as real as the easter bunny when it comes to starting a business, most people WILL write much better copy if they're interested in that particular area, and especially if they are passionate about it.

Besides, as a copywriter you should focus on a few areas where you know you can produce results for the client much more easily. Leave the "I'll write anything for a dollar" to the elance crowd. (No disrespect to them of course)
