Default Please Review My Reverse Phone Site

I have a reverse phone site - reversephonecounsel.com
I have been sending traffic but not getting conversions.

I have tried changing elements within the site's layout,
but nothing helps - Do you have any advice as to why people aren't converting?

Thank you very much

I have no way of knowing what you have tried. But the basics are:

Although the phone check and background check are separate blocks visually, it still seems as though you're asking for either 1) The name of the phone number owner (which defeats the purpose of searching for the owner) 2) User registration before you can search. In either case, a label for each block indicating one is a phone search and the other is a separate, unconnected, background search might help a bit.

Next, you "borrow" credibility ...and it is obviously not for reversephonecounsel but InfoRegistry you're borrowing from. This undermines your credibility, which is important to note for what follows.

Which is, no matter what number you type, you get 617-275-8221 -- which is probably used as a code, but gets the user to hit the back button instantly. The site seems broken, if you don't know what going on and don't allow the page to load.

Think about it. You've typed some other number and "Finding information for 617-275-8221" shows up. What would you do?

When you do allow the page to load, you get what appears to be a bait-and-switch. The site has very little "information scent" that it is a paid lookup. There are hundreds-upon-hundreds of FREE lookup sites ...so, what do you think is happening?

That's right, the user feels ill used by this bait and switch; giving them every excuse to leave and find a free lookup service.

You explain nothing. You do not put forth a reason to pay for what is -- in the user's mind at least -- a service available for free everywhere and identical to yours in every way.

And let us not forget the user mind set when they're using this service is SUSPICION. You are pouring gasoline on a lit match with the bait-and-switch, zero information (including your own background) site. Try purchasing a clue from your own site, because it is obvious to everyone else what's not working.
